just on a FYI note...I was asked earlier today about the neck differences between the Forte 4 & 5. Here's some scientific finding measurements.
thickness front to back,
Forte 4 @fret 3; 1"
Forte 5 @fret 3; 7/8"
Forte 4 @fret 12; 1 1/16"
Forte 5 @fret 12; 1"

Did you notice that the neck thickness on the Forte 4, between fret 3-12, thickness increased by only 1/16"?
The Forte 5 on the other hand thickness increased by 1/8".
Probably the difference between 34" & 35" scale.

The neck shape on the Forte 4 is flattened on bottom.
The neck shape on the Forte 5 is more rounded with a slight narrow flat center.
I actually find the Forte 5 neck easier and faster to play vs. the Forte 4. Even though the 5's neck is wider. But I have size Large hands also.

Just an FYI, I am testing the waters on the ZeBop. I am more of a P/J guy and don't feel the vibe of the soapbars so I posted it FS/FT in the classifieds....any questions, ask! :)

I just hit it. Man that's a good looking bass. I don't have a dual soapbar either, what is it about the sound that's not jiving?

Man it might be a tad slower but I loooove that fat ass neck on my Forte 4. Pumping eight notes to some Cult just feels so right.

Hey Guys!! Just a quick trouble shoot...

I just received an Ampeg SVP-Pro from a fellow TB'er and the clip light next to the gain comes on at the slightest touch, gain 1/4 of the way up and master is 1/4 of the way up.

just to spot check me here is how I have it running.

Ampeg SVP-Pro > QSC RMX 1450 > Hartke Hydrive 410

the pre is connected to the power amp via 12 gauge 3ft 1/4 to 1/4 and the power amp is connected to the cab via 12 gauge 3ft speakon.

Any ideas to help me trouble shoot would be greatly appreciated!
