P.S. I didn't know they came with black Schaller strap locks thats cool, Just had to cancel the order for those.

Spector guys, I am picking up a Rebop on Memorial day from a friend. Yesterday, I checked out a Rebop in a store, and I am curious about how it is intonated. I could not find a screw for moving up and down for intonation (not vertically for string height.)

I'm glad you asked this question. I bought a new Rebop a few weeks ago and they don't come with a manual. It did come with two allen wrenches, but nothing on how to adjust. I'm guessing the process is to loosen the side screw, then manually adjust each piece and re-tighten. I kinda hope I'm wrong. Anyone out there know how these bridges work?

P.S. I have pics of new Rebop to post, but this app on my iPad isn't letting me upload for some reason.

That is exactly how they work. Why do you hope that you are wrong? Its not as much of a pain in tuckus as you might think.

That's how you do it. It's really easy. Just loosen the string before you insert your allen wrench into the saddle height adjustment screw and use it as a little lever to rock the saddle forward or backward to adjust the intonation. Tighten up the lock screw on the side of the bridge when you're done.

yup these guys nailed it... it really easy and faster than conventional bridged IMHO

Some people seem to prefer the intonation screws on the bridges and the newest Spector's do come with these on them. My NS-5XL has the bridge with the intonation screws while my Euro 5LX and Rebop5 have the older bridges where you have to manually slide the saddles after loosening the screw on the side of the bridge.

Personally, I am fine with either of them but you can order a newer bridge from the Spector site if you want one with the intonation screws. I didn't realize when I bought my Rebop5 used that the screw on the side of the bridge was missing so I need to either get one or buy a whole new bridge since my intonation keeps getting whacked if I loosen the strings. The weather has been crazy here on the East Coast so when I needed to adjust the neck the other week, I didn't realize the saddles were moving so in the situation, the intonation screws would have helped me :)

Unfortunately over the past few years I have seen the services of Firefighters way too many times.
(Lost my house in ’08 to a microwave going on by itself when we weren’t home) and Firefighters have always been the first to arrive during any of my cardiac episodes.

That being said, I hope to only see you Gentlemen on Talkbass and Facebook from now on. ;) :cool:

I'm not... but my wife is a former Fed, then she worked for the GBI... nothing hotter than a really pretty woman who can drive a car like nothing you've ever seen and shoot better than most men. Plus I've seen her handle drunk guys 5 times her size without straining.
The only down side is I'm really afraid to upset her. :eek:

BTW, my friend Darryl Anders (Tower of Power and the Artist Rep for Dunlop, MXR) calls her "Killer". That's his nickname for her. :D
