The SpectorCare video on setting up your Spector Bass is almost ready. I've got to get it to Stuart to approve and then hopefully there will be no re-edits... and then it'll go live.

It covers intonation and the little tricks to using your hex key to position the saddle. Something I learned from Jimmy Eppard... and I've seen PJ Rubal use the same technique. So it's a common method.

But I also cover the new intonation screw bridges too.

I'm really looking forward to this set-up video, JPSBassist. Your tone pump vid was a great help already. As a new Spector owner, the insight and community on this board from you and everyone else makes me glad I made this purchase. That and the fact that it plays like a dream.

Unfortunately over the past few years I have seen the services of Firefighters way too many times.
(Lost my house in ’08 to a microwave going on by itself when we weren’t home) and Firefighters have always been the first to arrive during any of my cardiac episodes.

That being said, I hope to only see you Gentlemen on Talkbass and Facebook from now on. ;) :cool:

Yes. It'll be the same as the NS-2, but instead of a P/J pickup configuration, it'll be a J/J.

Todd Cooke has the best photo examples of this rare NS-2 model configuration. He calls it an NS-2JJ. Which really makes sense to me. The NS-2J and NS-2JA are bolt on neck models, so NS-2JJ for the neck thru version works for me.

I'll be plugging into my new streamliner 900 and letting it eat. It Looks like it came with 110s on her but dont have calipers here at work to check that out . P.S. I didn't know they came with black Schaller strap locks thats cool, Just had to cancel the order for those.

I'm not... but my wife is a former Fed, then she worked for the GBI... nothing hotter than a really pretty woman who can drive a car like nothing you've ever seen and shoot better than most men. Plus I've seen her handle drunk guys 5 times her size without straining.
The only down side is I'm really afraid to upset her. :eek:

BTW, my friend Darryl Anders (Tower of Power and the Artist Rep for Dunlop, MXR) calls her "Killer". That's his nickname for her. :D

All of you who work in Emergency Svcs of any kind have my utmost respect. I have a number of years working in the hospitals and you all lay your lives on the line for others and I have seen it in action. My hat is off to each one of you! :)

Still don't agree....I think the one I had (Ian Hill) was thicker than the regular Ian Hill's....I got one that was made close to a regular Euro neck for whatever reason, lemon maybe???...When my new white one comes I will check it against the pics and memory of the black one. :bassist:

Nice I will definitely check that out...even though I always bring mine for a 40 min ride to my tech to do any maintenance....me no trust myself, hehe

Thanks LimaGuy, And I hope that your health stays good and Those Firemen in your area don't have visit anymore. To me though the true heros are those men and women serving in our military keeping democracy alive. But Thank you for the kind comments .

I do have to say that this club is the best I've belong too and very proud to be part of it . Very knowledgeable and respectable people on this thread. Thanks for all the great insight and tips on what we all love Spector Basses .

Had a few minutes this morning before work to cook up a new short mix. This one is some Drop A action on my Euro 4 LX. Hope you guys like! I used two tracks of bass on this one using my Axe Fx/ Ampeg SVX combo.

Excellent as always Bassgiant. Drop A? What strings are you using on your Euro to get down that low? I am using a custom set of D'Addarrio nickels on my Rebop 5 and I'm using a .145 B string which has been great. Excellent tension and not even a bit of floppiness going on.

Man, I really wish I could pickup one of those Axe fx units since I really love the sound you get out of it. I have been messing with an MXR M-80 lately but haven't been able to find the tone I want so I might try out a Sansamp RBI and see if that gives me better results.
