SPECTOR® Club - Part 32

I have a USA NS-5XL and 2 Euros (Euro 5XL and a Rebop 5) and I still play the Euro's just as much as the USA. Sure, there are differences but it's not to the point where it's night and day. The Euro's are great basses and I have zero urge to sell either of mine.

That being said though, my next Spector will be a USA because there are some reasons I, myself, prefer these models but others might not feel the same way.

well thank you sir! ive always been a spector lover. i just wanted to see what all the hoopla about the warwicks were and i like some of the tones you get out of them. but i guess the only tones ive figured out i like are thumb basses. so in all fairness, my ears, hands, and heart with spectors baby!! :bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist:

There just hasn't been a lot of publicity with the Spector Cores...:confused: About 1 1/2 years ago I was bent on buying one but there just wasn't much on YouTube or anything else to hear what they sound like. Only a couple of pros out there play them. They resale very low..., IMO.

Ha! Don't get me wrong. My Euro is a great instrument (and it may wind up going under the knife to become a fretless). But the Forte. Wow, that's just a whole different animal. I've played a lot of basses over the years, and the attention to detail on the Forte is simply unbelievable. I'm pretty sure that she's the nicest bass I've ever played. :bassist:

Seriously, super impressed.
The build quality is top notch!
This USA Bolt on is REALLY well built!!
I would love to have a 2nd USA Bolt on with a different board and different pups for variety sake.
The one I am eyeballing on BC is jaw dropping hot!
Just need the cha ching to make it happen. :confused:

Yep for sure I could.
I am just at a point where I really do not want to let go of anything.
All are pretty much keepers.
But who knows?
The more I play this new Spector and the more I keep visiting the BC website and drooling over the one I want there.
I might just go nuts and roll something to grab the cash for it.

The Aguilar pre does a bang up job on the tone department doesn't it! Which OBP? 2 or 3? I really love the OBP3 best! If I could have passive/active with the OBP3 in my new Coda 5 DLX, I would've ordered it that for the pre.

I know...just like I loved my former Ian Hill...but theres that 20%+ more that I like about the USA handbuilt that much more that will have me always coming back for another one. :smug: :)
