After a 25+ year wait I finally got me a Kramer Era NS-2 :bassist:
Photos below.

First, a special thanks to Bassmanc for allowing me to buy his baby from him.

As I expected, the neck on this bass is much thinner then the Forte neck. It is very similar to a NS-2A neck. But the bass just feels much more solid.

In person, the bass is just stunning.

The tone of the bass is very similar to my Forte w/haz.

The NS-2 has a bit less treble to it, I assume because of the older EMGs and older haz. Im not an over treble type guy so I love it. :hyper:

As promised here are some sound clips. My usual riff comparing the NS-2, Forte and Euro 4LX. All 3 basses have brand new Dunlop Steels 45-105

very nice buddy!:bassist:

I spend way too much time scanning the market for used Spectors. A couple of those are OK deals, and a couple are no deal at all.

If you can restrain your S.A.S. a bit I know you can do much better.

If you are absolutely committed to buying tomorrow... I also think #1 is the most favorable deal of your four choices.

I've seen crazy deals... Euro 4LX $600 shipped, REX 4 Pro $355 shipped. Legend Bubinga bolt-on PJ $149.99, Legend Custom Bubinga set-neck $289.99. I picked up an NS-2A cherry burst for $299.99 and an NS2000 with EMG 35CS pickups and a case for $329.99.

In the past week Guitar Center Used had both a Legend 4 and a Legend 5 for $199.99 and shipping is only $12.38 in the U.S.

Save a little bit more and you can pickup an NS-2A right here on TB. "husky123" offered his NS-2A to Spector Club members for $400 shipped.

You just have to look every day... and be ready to pounce instantly.

well if he's anything like me, he might have bad luck waiting for something like that to show up. i believe what he's bidding on is fine and will at least get him in the door to spector. then as he joins us, he will then gain more knowledge of spectors from you guys. that's how ive learned about them. you guys kick ass and know your stuff. but maybe he wants to start now and there's nothing wrong with what he's bidding on. then he'll get s.a.s like everyone else who get's on here. :D and my next mission is to save for a white euro, ns2a, something. but my next spector will be an upgrade when i can afford it :)

Super Congrats! Enjoy it buddy!

LimaGuy - Congrats!

Beautiful bass you have there. 25 years happens to be the same amount of time it's taken for me to finally pull the trigger on a USA Spector - what took us so long? My new NS4 should arrive early next week - I hope I'm as happy with mine as you appear to be with yours. Congrats again, and enjoy!

And he didn't share with me? :) I will give that a shot. Is there a good place to get those gel packs that you know of?

You can buy desiccant packs at staples or office depot usually. If you can't find them there, you can order online at www.uline.com. Or...do what I do. Go to your local shoe stores and ask them to save them for you. Places like DSW or PayLess or Rack Room all get those little packs in every shoebox and every handbag. They just give them to me for free since they're going to throw them away anyway.

I am happy for you buddy!...You deserve it!!!....Rock and Roll baby!!! :bassist:

Euro NT basses are a lot less than a US bolt-on and very nice basses. I sold my 30th Anniversary SR4 to get my 4LX and have zero regrets!

Thanks, I saw one or two of the NT euro's selling in various places. Look stunning.
I had a 30th SR4 and sold it too.
It was a nice bass, bit I liked my other SR's better.

I sold a 20th anniversary SR5 to get the Euro5LX-TW. No regrets here either.

Well I just won the Korean Legend 4 on eBay, I'm super excited! Can't wait to join the club. Now for the hardest part, waiting for it to get here.
Heres a couple pics from the auction.
