Finally got the new bridge for my plum CRFM4 & installed it, and it is a definite visual improvement over the nasty old corroded one that was on there. See before & after pix.
Next - someone here stated that I would shelve my 2 Euros once I heard my new NS4. Though I have no plans to bag the Euros, I do have to say that after hearing the NS4 last night at band practice through my PJB rig for the first time, it really does sound better than any bass I've ever owned or played. While it is not quite as aggressive-sounding as the plum Euro, the plum remains my favorite playing bass, with the best feeling neck of the three, but the sound of the NS4 is simply incredible!
A bit of the difference between the Euros & the USA is lost when the band gets to cranking, but we also did some digital multitrack recording last night, and that's where the NS4 was a true champ. The bass was recorded using a line out from the PJB M500 straight to the recorder, and the resulting sound was spectacular - sparkling highs, complex mids, and chest thumping/bowel loosening lows.
I am truely impressed and awed by my NS4.

Are you still enjoying your Moog Taurus 3 bass pedals? I love mine, but I'm not playing them in my current 3-piece original metal band. I may work them into a few songs, but its kind of nice not having to haul that monster road case, the separate amp, & all the extra set-up & tear-down associated with them.
Speaking of monsters, I still dig your "Fluffy" avatar - makes me want to go watch Creepshow right now...
That NS-4 is GORGEOUS! Never was a huge fan of white basses but I love yours, must be the knobs.
Thanks! I kind of went "obsesso" with the knobs on Whitey. I started with a set of gold knobs with real mother-of-pearl tops from Q-Parts, and then I embellished them by affixing a set of 4 small rubies as knob pointers. I got the idea from the jeweled knobs that Gretsch uses on their White Falcon models.

Those knobs are so cool. I may just steal that idea! Tomorrow is NSD (new Spector day) for me. I have a white NS2JA-R that is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. Once I get around to taking some pics of it along with my 2 NS4CRFMs I may just ask for a number. I'm not big on the club thang but you guys are making me rethink things.

The Taurus is simply awesome. I tried playing it with my feet in my band but I just can't do it without more hours practicing and balancing while playing electric. Then we got a keyboard player who used it for a while. It went well until he started abusing it. 
I told him not to step on my bass lines but he couldn't help himself. I might need to take it back.And yes good ol Fluffy. Tying it in with the Taurus soundtrack.

Outstanding! But be advised; once you open that door, there's no turning back!
I have a closet full of Fender, Rickenbacker, MusicMan & other assorted basses (seldom if ever played anymore) to attest to that. All fine basses, mind you, but none of them have "That Spector Sound".
One of a kind euro fretless alert. Will post pics later. Bubinga wings, ebony board for the fretless guys out there ......
