That's how it is now , one side goes to ground the preamp , the other to the battery and white to preamp .
If it is like you say, it is impossible for there to be a drain unless something is wrong with the 1/4" jack or the way you have it wired, it is just that simple.
Make sure you have the jack wired correctly.
These are passive pick-ups correct? If not there must be a break in the ground to them either by the preamp controlling continuity or it must be wired through the same 1/4" jack so the ground for them is supplied only when the amp cord is plugged in.

We will figure it out, I need the schematic and information about the pups.

I had this same problem with a BTS pre im my NS-2A Fretless. It kept draining the battery. I just swapped the 2 black wires on the output jack and it solved the problem.

Sam I'll try that again in the morning . I did on the other jack and it didn't make sound . So I'll try that with the new jack in the morning . I'm about ready for an off switch ! Lol thanks for the advice !!

Hey gang,

Just wanted to say hi and thanks again for all Spector info. I really dig the NS2A I picked up about a week ago. Only problem is I started my new job at the same time. 4AM wake-up call to get to work for my shift......Brutal.....Haven't had the energy to play a much as I want. Hopefully tomorrow I can finally get my rig picture for you all.

Yup.
Did this exact thing by accident when I put the trim-Tone Pump in my 6.
Switching sides of the two outermost terminals on your jack (both wires should be black and seeing your pic, they are) should fix the problem.

I'm still awake.....insomnia....let's talk Spector?

just got home from our show.... Spector huh? I love mine... NS-4CRFM into a GK 1001rbii into an Ampeg SVT classic 810..... Oh My God!!! I had amazing growl tonight. That bass just makes you want to play. I love my Rex but Jade is magical.

I've heard great things about the nscrfms!

all maple "euro" basically. Mine is running a tone pump and is what I base all other basses on for tone. It also has a brass bridge (heavier than the Euro bridge but lighter than the USA bridges) It weighs 9.5lbs and is a joy to play. I would pick up another in a heart beat.

Two thousand miles away at 430 in the morning smiling to hear you had another great gig with your CRFM. I am totally feeling the same way with my JAR. Very growly! Ampeg CL with 2 8X10s. 1 is an Ampeg 810 the other is an old Peavey810 with the Kevlar impregnated cones. Together they dominate.

Nice! I bet that is a brutal assault to ones ears! You gotta wear ear plugs on stage running that rig with the Spectors!

awesome! I'm working on getting another 810 (ampeg) or possibly a 2x15 (a buddy is selling one)

I played a CL and I drooled a lot! 300 watts of tube even at 2ohms.... 80lbs too. If I get the 2nd cab I'm going to have to ook at amp options... mine doesn't go to 2ohms
