SPECTOR® Club - Part 38

The guy finally came through on the MTD today! Now I can move forward with getting rid of the new "Amazon" Spectors.

I haven't gotten any response on here about the black cherry LX4 for $1100 shipped (w/ 18v EMG BTS 2 band pre-amp, X series pjs, new Spector gigbag, pro set up & strings), so I'm gonna move on to the main TB classifieds board when I get a spare minute or two.

I never was a big fan of red basses until I saw these Black Cherry Spectors... I love mine... the color is like blood at times and sometimes a good red wine. The top bass of choice for vampires and wine-o's. :D

Yeah i looked at that ns2a today and it needs fretwork and the knobs are not original either. Plays pretty good but i wouldnt give more than 350 imho... If you wanna try mine out let me know

Are you selling your ns2a? yes the bass could be nice but needs preamp and fret work. they would not even let me open the back plate and look at the pre. there was something way wrong with the treble control.....I think I know the bass but won't point fingers.....lol

Yeah, I looked at it and played it and knew I would not buy it...I happen to know they have about 300 in it. It's needs a preamp and fretwork so call it 200+ worth of work and it had Spector branded pickups I would replace. So I'd would rather pay $500 and get what I want from a club member or TB member.

It was Iike the treble was a volume/ low mid knob....if you turned down the supposed treble know it killed the volume....it had extreme issues in my opinion. I would be pissed of I was a manager of that place....sorry, but it's how I feel. You can't bring in instruments with problems. Any bassist would know that the bass had issues if they plugged it in.....boo!

Ps......pictures of rebop coming. It got a setup and new Dunlop nickels on it today.....really light too! The OBP1 sounded better than the non trim tone pump to my ears.....

Congrats on the Rebop and +1 on the smadder set-up!

Thank you....it's light and fast....Oh yeah, I traded my Warrior for a wick stage one in the hopes of moving it locally to fund a Spector. It's not a Spector but it's the body design and solid flame maple, so I'm getting closer! I played a ns2a and loved the neck! I think I need one!

Pictures...iPad so not perfect but up....ready for a number! Son holding it up.

OUTSTANDING!!!!! :D:bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist:

Congratulations Jamie - it's beautiful. Can't wait till we get some 40DCs and a good preamp in there, then it will sound as good as it looks. Don't forget to PM tracebass (I think that's his tag) to get your club #.

Welcome, welcome, welcome!

Stage I's are VERY sweet basses. I don't think you'll have any problems moving that one out if you decide to fund another Spector. Don't forget - I have another ultra amber LX5 quilt like the last one coming in between the 19th and the 30th and if some of the folks who've expressed interest in it can't pick it up, we'll have to talk. I'm definitely looking forward to working with you on the Bop's electronics suite. Congrats again man - she's beautiful.
