Thanks! I'm really loving it so far. Do you guys know what kind of preamp was used in these?

I'm also curious as to what the popular pickup/pre upgrades are. It sounds good, but i'm sure some active EMGs and/or a guts swap would turn it into a monster of a bass

emg something. if you take off the cover, there is like a little switch on one of the boards. i think its a treble switch. mine has the 35 dc's and the korean haz in it. limaguy did all that when he owned it :)

Give me a shout after you've identified everything if you want to upgrade. I'd be happy to help you get a hold of some stuff at a discount.

The black cherry LX 4 finally went today! Man that was weeks on the classifieds... but I'm grateful it went. Just thought I'd let you guys know.

Jaymi will be taking a look ant the non drip Alex Webster this Wednesday afternoon and if he doesn't jump, I'll put pics back up here before putting it on the classifieds. It's a fantastic bass and another one of the "Amazon" new ones. It'll come with a pro set up, Sadowsky steels and a new Spector gig bag for $1500 shipped. I'll let you guys know late Wednesday after Jaymi and I finish hanging out.

I see a lot of the same gear in the classifieds day after day.
I think times must be tough right now?
Glad you sold it.

$1500 - wow! How long did you own it? That's CHEAP!
Of course, I'm all about the drippage...I got a great deal on my AW online (new); I'm glad to see good deals are out there for those who can jump on 'em.
I miss playing my NS4CR; aside from playing covers for practive / finger fitness, I never play it anymore. The 5er is just so easy to play, as my band tunes down anywhere from drop-D to drop-A, and I can hit it all (almost) with standard BEADG tuning. For the low-A stuff, I either tune down the B a whole step, or use my Eventide Pitchfactor and tune the whole guitar down.
I have chewed on the idea of installing a Hipshot detuner on my low B, but I don't trust it, for some reason. I just can't bring myself to do it!
