I deduct points - only thing uglier than a Ric is two of them put together. :D

Sorry if I offend anyone with that - I just really dislike them.

Ha! Double Neck Rics to me are like hip hugger bell-bottoms. They're so wrong but in a way they define the weirdness that was the late 1970's and early 1980's.

Sort of like those frilly shirt power-blue tuxedos way too many people sported to their senior proms. :D

My Coda 5 Deluxe arrived 3 hours ago but I had to be snapped back into realty and take some quick photos. The Coda's real color is not captured by the camera. It has a pearl luminescent copper green hue to it in the light that the camera doesn't catch, except a tiny bit on the lower horn at the tip on 1 picture. It's an overcast and spitting snow day. The strings are set super low to the neck, the neck's thickness front to back is super thin! much like my former Forte 5 or even thinner, I'll take neck measurements when I go put the GHS Precision Flats custom's on and send the measurements to Patrick. Very fast neck! It's an oiled neck. :D This Coda 5 Deluxe definitely says "High Quality" big time!!! :bassist::hyper::D Enjoy the photos!

That is a very pretty finish.........

Congrats Ice! Simply stunning. And I thought I had Coda GaS before... I was listening to some Meshell Ndegeocello earlier and was floored by that jazz bass sound- marrying that with Spector's craftsmanship can only yield an amazing instrument! Enjoy it in good health! :bassist:

^ did everyone have hair like that in the 80's? :hiding:

Late, but yes...

The first time my wife saw this pic, she asked "Did you shave your chest???"! ; )

So...Did you? Don't leave us hangin'!

Holy Moly, that is EPIC!!!!

Oh... and just so you know... I have a 1988 Kramer/Spector NS-2A that sits in the rack right next to my Woodstock USA Spectors. It's one bass I'll never get rid of. My first true Spector Love. :D

I'm a big fan of the Korean Spectors from that period. Pound for pound one of the best deals you can get if you're looking for an affordable, entry level Spector experience.

They are Awesome!!! :bassist::bassist::bassist:

Wow - congrats on a beautiful bass! That Coda looks like an aerial shot of the Caribbean Ocean (ok maybe the Bahamas)! I can't wait to hear a review on it or maybe some sound clips. What's the PU and Preamp combo on this?

This is how i feel about an Antigua paint job.... It's so ugly that it's awesome.... Someday I will have an Antigua bass
