For some reason I have just not absorbed the later Machine Head records yet. I know they've been doing some good stuff since Through the Ashes... - I just need to put these on repeat a few times.

Yeah, I admit I hadn't listened to them for a while but after I heard The Blackening, that brought me right back in.

I use to love this stuff too!!!

YES! Man, that song brings back so many memories Jeff. Nobody is home right now so I had to blast it :)

Totally. Paul Gilbert is in a league of his own, and Juan Alderate is an all around monster! His playing with racer x and the mars Volta is incredible. :bassist:

dont forget bruce bouilliet??? however you spell it. he is an absolute monster. the beginning arpeggio intro to motor man was written by bruce and p.g. said its one of the hardest things he had to learn. its so bad.

through ashes of empires brought me back. the burning red was so disappointing, but empires is epic. roadrunner dropped them and then heard the demo to ashes and resigned them. they put out killer albums since.

Oh yeah- I was blanking on their other guitarist's name. Man, they can shred. I've been trying to work out scarified for a while now- just talking about how great this band is makes me wanna go give it another shot!

My Coda 5 Deluxe arrived 3 hours ago but I had to be snapped back into realty and take some quick photos. The Coda's real color is not captured by the camera. It has a pearl luminescent copper green hue to it in the light that the camera doesn't catch, except a tiny bit on the lower horn at the tip on 1 picture. It's an overcast and spitting snow day. The strings are set super low to the neck, the neck's thickness front to back is super thin! much like my former Forte 5 or even thinner, I'll take neck measurements when I go put the GHS Precision Flats custom's on and send the measurements to Patrick. Very fast neck! It's an oiled neck. :D This Coda 5 Deluxe definitely says "High Quality" big time!!! :bassist::hyper::D Enjoy the photos!

Wow!!! Well done Mike. Congratulations :bassist:

so i decided to switch hardware on the legend and ns-94. problem is the knobs wont fit on each other so i had to order black knobs for the legend. but the black ns-94 with gold harware looks f'n sweet and the legend with black hardware looks pretty sharp. i will post pics when i have it all done :)

Dude, if I could swing it, I'd make the trip and round up all my AZ friends and bring em' all with me. You guys are that good! :bassist:

Ho is definitely going. I had some frequent flyer miles and a credit that needed to be used. Let's go support our brother! To me it's very exciting to watch a talented young band putting in the work. And that work starting to pay off. These guys ARE that good, I could not agree more.
