Hope you wife gets better Mike...Also good luck Sum!:bassist::bassist::bassist:
Thank you Jeff...it's one beastly cold she has! Just keeping from getting it to me. :ninja:
This bass is killing me... I wish I had the cash. One of the most stunning Spectors I've seen. It would be too heavy for me to gig with so even if I had the cash, I couldn't justify spending it on a bass that would only be played at home.

Oh my! That is a good price! And he's willing to negotiate! A very very nice burl popular! One of the nicer ones of seen too. :bassist: With a good shoulder strap you could handle it.
Yep, that would be him. The matches were a lot of fun. All of the wrestlers would sit in the same dressing room playing poker & discussing who's turn it was to "win" that day, and many times I would get to hang out with them, always amazed at how normal & down to earth they were outside of the ring.
Back in the mid 70's when I was living in New Mexico a couple of WWF wrestlers were rehearsing in our gym. It was then I discovered about all the coragraphing that goes into making the "show", who wins this time etc...lol I couldn't watch WWF or now WWE anymore.

Brian, our guitarist, just got this Arc6 Pro in last night. He loves it! He is coming over later and we are gonna get it setup for Defy Tolerance... His quote "Wait 'till you hear the pickups, soo crisp"

I can't wait, it looks great in pictures.

EDIT: Brian will be doing some videos with this guitar and we might make a trip out to Patrick (if he is cool with it) to do a video with his help.
That's awesome Donny! Looking forward to hearing you two playing Spectors together! :bassist::bassist:

3 hour jam with my Forte 5 earlier today and now watching my 7 week old baby.:D

I DID have a couple of Coronas after jam, so I am quite the rebel!:bassist:

In any case, i think my Forte 5 went from number 3 to number one over the last couple of jams. Didn't see that coming!

I own an absolutely sick looking/playing/sounding MTD 535 as well as my old workhouse Modulus Quantum 5 Sweetspot. My MTD was my go to for the last while with the Modulus as a backup.... Then the Spector moved up to backing up the MTD as the tone was better for my current band than the Q5. Today I didn't even play the MTD.

I am super happy with the Spector. It is a beast at 11.7lbs, but on a good strap it isn't heavy to me.

IME, the Spector does everything as good as my MTD and Modulus except for slap (Damned good on the Spector, but the Modulus and MTD are both a bit better) and clean ballady stuff. I didn't like my tone on Clapton's Wonderful Tonight with the Forte as a rare example. Just nitpicking, but everything else, the Spector sounds killer. For fun we ran thru Livin' After Midnight and we added it to the setlist as it sounded great. I don't play with a pick much, but that tune with a Spector and a pick is killer.:bassist:

I just might be looking for a 2nd Spector soon.:bassist:

Yep! That usually happens sooner or later. Before you know it...you'll look behind you and say,"Where did those 6 Spectors come from"?! Haha :bassist: :bassist: :bassist: :bassist: :bassist: :bassist:

Holy crap on a stick! That's amazing!
I was a huge Death Angel fan in college; I listened to The Ultra-Violence all the time!

I was just checking that out myself. Looks like Webster inlays. I'd guess that bass will go for quite a bit due to the history, but it might be fun to chase for a while!

By the way, if you haven't heard any, their new stuff is REALLY good!

Hey Patrick, any word as to when more info on the coda pro models will be released? Probably after NAMM, right?

I'm really stoked for those models. I'm probably gonna end up delaying my plans for a b3k and sell some stuff to pick one of those up...

I have wanted to try those helix strings. I have a friend locally who swears by them since they came out! Let me know how they work for you. The concept makes sense to me....

Also congrats on the audition.....glad you went!

A friend of mine played the stainless version and I tried them. They sound FAT!

I have a nickel set on the way.

Wow! 7-8 hours without a post?!?! Everyone gig last night? I went to bed early...wife is sick so I'm taking care of her, wearing me out! Haha! ;)
Sum! I'm happy the audition worked out well and you decided to join them! :bassist:

Nice! Haven't tried the Helix's....look interesting for sure though.

thanks guys. i will let you know as i find out. gotta do a little neck adjustment while i put on the new strings :)

Haha i literally laughed out loud. I was in the bathroom. Everyone thinks i'm laughing at my own poop...

bahahaha!!! sicko!

Nice. Congrats.

I've been curious about those Helix's. I know Cobalts are awesome.

Awesome, nothing like jamming fun band and playing gigs. Hope it goes well man!
