I think he said somewhere in there that he was just using it for stage monitoring at this point, and that he was planning on playing with the head a little bit when he has time to see whether or not he wants to use the DI on there to make the amp part of the FOH sound. I watched it last night, so I don't remember what he said exactly.

I would think his rig on stage would just be a monitor for on the stage, but playing the venues they play I'm sure he gets all of the PA support he needs..
I also really like the look of that Aguilar stuff. What was he using before?
Heh, beaten to the punch! I've started to go this route myself- I've been using the MXR as a clean DI and the hartke for adding a little bit of grit before it if I want it. I'm hoping to start experimenting with more pedals soon...

mike, are you saying a db750 doesn't put out much bottom end?
I'm just used to Mesa gear. In comparison to my taste and A/B'ing the 750 and 500 to the M6 and M9 series thru a 2/15 cab. I think that they lack a bit in comparison. Though like Donny stated running direct live most of the time I have gone to using the Jule Monique to FOH and try to get my tone from the bass.

Wow, classy! Really stands out from all the snow. Nice dark fingerboard too.

Looks killer, congrats! What I like about these old korean 5ers is the headstock which I prefer to USA and Euro 5ers. How do you find it after owing all that USA Spectors?

fair enough... I'm a huge amp guy, I love them almost as much as basses. I thought the M6 was awesome, very fast, and accurate. The DB750 was all about a wall of big bottom and mids with smooth but "slow" highs. I did have it matched to a DB810 though which was voiced for that amp so my experience may have bene different from yours. The Mesa 400+ ended up being my "just right" mix of both.
