I have an OBP-2 at 18v in my CRFM and love it. My new NS-4H2 has the OBP-3 at 9v and it's pretty amazing. I love having the added mid control. The one thing I will say is this bass doesn't seem to have the same high end range that my others do. Not sure if its the pre or the bass. Still sounds great. The lows and mids are impressive. There is definitely a little extra magic in a US Spector!

Do the 18 volt mod on the OBP-3, it might get you where you want? I NEVER had an issue with highs on that pre?

New Spector Days are the best, and white Spectors are beautiful.
I didn't realize the white LE had solid maple wings until I read the spec sheet about 5 minutes ago. Very cool - I think my CRFM (with solid wings) slightly edges out my Euro LX (with sandwich wings) as a tone platform because of the solid wings.
Now to ditch the EMG pre in my CRFM & put in a Tonepump. I'd do a USA 9-volt, but it does not look like they will be available any time soon, and the Tonepumps do sound really nice...

I don't really have an issue with. The tone pumps . I just dial them down a bit and let it eat...

I don't know if I didn't have it fully dialed in last week, but she was sounding evil last night. My drummer said it's his new favorite bass, and we all agreed that what it lacks in bottom end (compared to my NS-4), it more than makes up for in aggression & punch.

Love green Spectors.

Looking to the future I would like to try and order a ReBop in ultraviolet but if that isn't workable (listed as a USA only finish) I will be going with MATTE GREEN since that IS an available euro made bass finish.

And.....sold. That sure didn't take long (not that I thought it would). The emerald is destined to PA tomorrow....
