Don't know about 35" scale.

But I ordered this today, as a matter of fact.
This is a Photoshop Mock Up. This is not a finished bass... yet.
I'll have to wait a few days to get an idea of how long I'll be waiting. But it will be a USA neck-thru with single MM at the bridge.

-----------------------

Specs:
USA NS-4
18v Aguilar OBP-3
EMG MMTW
BEM Neck
Black Pearl Option
Steelburst Gloss Finish
Black Hardware

PJ approved it for me today. So now the wait begins. :D
I'm going to call this one the "Steel Monster"

----------------------------

Since Sam is into numbers... we'll wait and see what the finish date on the headstock will read.
But it was ordered on his birthday.
That's got to be a good thing, right?

No this is going to be pretty DAGGONE cool!!!!!!!! :hyper:

Yeah sorry, I read that wrong, I guess I'm looking for a Wimbish narrow neck on a 5er which would be 1.75" width at nut vs 1.85"

This doesnt look bad

Bolt on NS-5H2 which is 1.80, the NON-Wide version. Hmm. Gotta try one of these

That is a narrow neck at the nut. That's the thing that made me jump ship from my Jazz V was that the Eruo I bought had a neck that wasn't nearly as wide as the Fender (or my Modulus for that matter). Even if it is a touch thicker it's just easier to play IMO.

Sweet! Isn't this going to be a four knob config? Will one be push/pull for the single/dual coil?

Damn cool!!

Is this an issue with the USA brass bridges too? I had to VERY slightly drill out the bridge on my Euro, but now it fits the DR 125's and 130's.
This seems to be a Euro bridge issue only. I hadn't heard if it is a problem on the intonation screw bridges. We've been talking about this issue for around 2-3 years, with the old Euro bridges. I would hope it has been taken care of with the new intonation screw bridge.

Patrick...that is one sick looking "Steel Monster"!!! WOWZERS!!! Congratulations on getting the thumbs up from Pj! :bassist: Looking forward to hearing it when it's finished. :D

Hey awesome, appreciate that, so you think the Jazz V & Euro Rebop Bolt on are pretty close? How does it compare to a Sterling\Bongo 5 neck?

Im debating keeping my G&L L2500 Tribute & adding a Spector Euro Rebop Bolt on vs selling the tribute & buying a USA G&L L2500 alder\maple neck with the K mod and NO Spector

famly photo
i know their not spectors but the whole SR line definetly started out as spector look alikes, i wish i still had my late 80's SR800 that one was just a blatent rip off but it played awsome, these SR500's don't quite measure up to it bit they are still exelent bases, don't matter theyr bolth backups now anyway.

What I meant to say is that my Jazz V had a wider and slightly thinner neck than my Spector Euro 5LX. I think a Rebop (I don't own one) would be a tad even more narrow. I'm afraid I can't speak for the Sterling\Bongo 5.

The volume will be a push/pull for single/dual coil.
Then the two concentric knobs will be Bass/Treble and Midrange/Mid Sweep.

:D

It'll also be 18v. So it will have 3 bands and have plenty of headroom.

Oh yeah! That'll do. :bassist: I have the OBP-3 in my Euro and am quite happy.

So the rumor that you can wire an OBP3 with a mid sweep IS correct...VERY INTERESTING!!! :bassist:

Wait... mid sweep? Mine is just a push/pull on the mid knob for 800hz and 400hz respectively.

my fretless is a push/pull @400/800.

I tried a few years ago to have a tech in town put an aggie obp3 with a mid sweep in my old Euro and they told me it was impossible... :scowl:

I know my next US BO will have an Aggie obp3 with a mid sweep! It's gonna be very close to the electronics in Patrick's new order! :bassist:

a few pics of my new baby
Wow, that maple flaming is out right breath taking! Congratulations!

I didn't realize that Spector would mod the OBP 3 to 18V at their shop. Nice to know. :D
