I think Rudy is a great player, but not going to see the Geoff Tate solo band. I listened to some snippets on YouTube and the re-recorded classics included are so lacking.

And the clips I've heard of the La Torre fronted Queensryche sound awesome. They sound like the Ryche used to sound like back in the day.

Don't know about 35" scale.

But I ordered this today, as a matter of fact.
This is a Photoshop Mock Up. This is not a finished bass... yet.
I'll have to wait a few days to get an idea of how long I'll be waiting. But it will be a USA neck-thru with single MM at the bridge.

I have two small portable amps I've played my USA and Euro Spectors through...

One is a Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0 with the 210 cab. It's like a combo but isn't.

Great sounding, clean. Lots of possibilities for shaping the sound at the amp. Plenty of power. And basically about 50lbs. So fairly easy to move around.

Second is the Aguilar ToneHammer 350 with two SL112 Aguilar Cabs.

This rig is awesome. Great tone. Not near as many features as the Genz. But smaller, lighter and makes just as much noise (they both have the same power unit I believe).

The SL112s are warm, have adjustable tweeters and weigh in at 25lbs a piece.

I actually have my Genz set up in my office as a pre-amp for recording. Having it hooked right into my computer's sound-card interface.

I have the Aguilar Rig ready to play at the drop of a hat, with all my pedals and effects plugged into it. It's my main little office rig.

Thanks Patrick, exactly the type of info I needed. The Shuttle and the Hammer are the two heads I'm looking at. I have the Tone Hammer pedal and was wondering if I paired it with the Shuttle I could get both sounds when needed. Do you think the Aggie is better for live performance? I don't record much. The TCE head in the picture will be relegated to my personal practice room.
These are the speakers I'll be using. 1-2x10 and 1-2x12

The OBP-3 is designed for either 9v or 18v.
So it's not a mod really.

The Quintin Berry signature NS-4Q has the OBP-2 at 18v in it.

Right...I just didn't know the shop would add the additional battery to convert from 9V to 18V.

I was just in San Antonio on business and one of my colleagues stuck around to take in the Festival last Friday. When my plane landed here in Chicago, he sent me a video of a sound check he just stumbled upon..... Queensryche.... the Tater version.... and that bass sure sounded like a Spector. This picture confirms it.

By the way, anyone notice the big F U Tate makes on the new album cover?

That's the great thing about the NS-4. It's got the 18v battery compartment routed into the body. So it's very simple for the workshop to wire the OBP-2 or OBP-3 (or EMG BQC) into the NS-4 body.

How's the battery compartment fit on your NS-4? The one on mine is so snug, I could leave the cover off & never worry about the batteries falling out.

Congrats again on ordering your new NS-4 - I don't recall ever seeing one with the BEM board yet.
Like your Blue Dream & Black Pearl, it may just be another first.

Hi Patrick,

If I wanted to add another 9V to my NS-4H2, how would I do that with only a single battery compartment? Any experience with this?

Also, in the last thread, I had asked about the string spacing differences between the US bolt-on and Euro bridges. You mentioned your basses were the same. Here are the pics I took. There is clearly a difference. Is my NS-4H2 spacing the same width as yours?
