I'm a Forte owner and, honestly, it's one of my (if not thee) favorite Spector I've owned. Just a stripped down muscle car....no frills, all tone.

So, so, so very true. Preach-on, brother Lee. I like Fortes so much that I'm getting one with a whole extra string for /even lower/ Forte punch-in-the-gut-ness.

That red spalt gets me every time! I freakin' love that!

Ive been on the FedEx tracking site more than I really need to since I already know when it's supposed to get here...

An LX 4, a forte 4, and a US bolt-on are on my someday list, but I hope to slowly aquire them while also keeping what I have. That's the plan anyway... Oh yeah, and maybe a Rex....

I get that but LimaGuy's sound clips confirmed what I have long suspected. That all Spectors are far closer in sound than different. Even the JJ and NS-4 sounded pretty close (although deeper) to the stock Forte-4 OBP-2 and NS-2 USA 9V. The stock Forte-4 is a another real sleeper. I might even prefer that one over anything else.

My long term goal is to keep my vintage Fender and add a Woodstock Spector and NYC Sadowsky. That will be variety. For me. Everybody else's YMMV.

LOL Yup, already showing it off. Finding it very hard to finish my work. My band practices in the attic of the shop so my amp is right here. Cant wait to plug it in.
