Look who I ran into at GC today. The gregarious Joe MrBassie with his FAMOUS club bass. We had an old school tailgate jam! His Forte is an absolute knockout in person. Pics do not do it justice.
Oh, and yes, he really is always this happy.
Joe is a really very happy guy. I love talking with him, always puts me in a better mood.

Is that the GC in Fairfax? I stopped in there not too long ago. Looks like the double box refin has been pushed back to June 1st for pickup. Looking forward to seeing what Chris does with it and hopefully meeting up with some of the VA members.

I went to my buddies wedding and the minister (who had a speech impediment himself) started by saying "Mawwiage...Mawwiage is what bwings us hewre todway!" I laughed so hard I started crying!!
That has to be one of the best movies ever made!

I cannot begin to tell you what a stunner it is in person. You know you always hear pics don't do it justice (well except for JPS' pics) and blah, blah but it's so true on this one. With the sun shining bright on it I was just amazed. The dark part of the grain just pops sooo much more with the amber/orange/tangerine color. Just amazing. AND, it played like buttah too. Super low action and a flat board. Joe can jam!
My step daughter lives right down the road from there.
Not going to be able to make it Sun. I'm trying to get in a couple more weekends of overtime before I pick up the Kramer. I want to get Phil to Pleck the fret board and fix some worn frets while I'm there. Wish I could make it but need some cash.
OMG that orange Forte just belongs in the sunlight. Stunning! That would be a beauty to take on festival tour!
