Just got some awesome news - the UV 5XL is glossed and awaiting assembly, and has a 9v ready for it. I should have it in the next week or two!

Oh, and the wildcard I spoke about (Torn Bassist knows what it is) is on its way to me now. Insane Spector summer so far.

Yeah, sometime down the road I'd like to have a fretless, maybe a Coda 5XL Fretless... Eventually I probably get around to buying that WCR NS-5XL but right now I'm fully satisfied.

I think I could be satisfied with big blue! I've recently been hit with a serious case of jazz bass GAS, so I haven't ruled out getting a Coda 5 similar to yours as my next bass...

LOL - I know it seems that way. I've moved 3 already recently. I'm down to 5 at the moment. Part of the reason I want to move the 5LX - I know it won't get played much. The Webster may go eventually too.

Well it's official, I'm going to be up to 5 Spectors, I'm moving a couple of my early frankenbasses to make room for this baby:



I kept making excuses to NOT buy this bass (like thinking my hands were too small for a 6) but the tone from those EMG-JX with the BQC preamp he put in this Legend 6 is so growly I had to have it, expecially since he had the bass priced to move!

So not only an excellent bass, but one used to track one of my new favorite albums

(however, talent is NOT included in the sale!)

Never heard of the guy before he joined StS, but man that dude can really play. I'm not a big fan of tapping, but he incorporates it well with other techniques so I can dig it.

I must say that I have done a complete 180 with the USA Bolt-on Spector basses

What do I have to do to get a number in this little club? I'm a total Spector nut. I've about sold all my other basses to only play Spector basses. I'm working on getting another Euro soon, and have gigged and recorded with my NS2000/4 exclusively for the past few years. Can I join your club?

Thing is my 6XL is very similar in feel and I like the US 18v better than the BQC, so it's kind of obsolete for me now if you can believe it. I mean don't get me wrong I love playing it but I'm committing to playing my US builds.

I feel you on the 18v over the BQC. I keep hoping for HAZ and Spector to put out the mid control for those. I would still like to roll off some highs and dial in more hi mids.
