I haven't heard of anyone's battery coming loose while playing. Yeah, a little Velcro done right should do it.

For anyone that has received a bass shipped to them with a US 9v (Brookly, Kramer or Woodstock) installed, was the battery still connected? I had to push mine back in on the 5XL. Just happened to open it before playing it to look at the elusive and wily 9v. Good thing I did or I would have had that minute of panic before I used my brain and checked it.

I make it a point to take the cover off and check the connection as soon as I recieve it. Everyone I have had shipped has had the battery come out. Only time it is hard to get out is if I want to remove it myself. This is in the new and old circuits that I have so I'm sure that it is well known. I alway take a small jewlers flat screwdriver and close the connectors on the terminal and also the battery so the connection is more secure.

Thought I'd share this here as well :)

I've been re-tracking all the bass parts for my Trailight project at home as I wasn't too happy with the takes I did in the studio so I've geared up and started ripping the whole thing appart once more!

I've recorded this track over a demo MP3 so this isn't the real deal as far as drums and guitar mixes but the bass is up quite a bit to give you an idea of what the tone will be like throughout most of the album.
2 channels one direct, clean and another through the MXR M-80 Bass DI which gives me the dirt channel.
The bass on this is not EQ'd nor compressed. PURE SPECTOR TONE!! I used my Spalt NS-2 on this one, tuned EADG.

It was a B*********CH to record this as I am picking with my fingers and the patterns of the drums and guitar were hard to follow...my forearm is strong now! :bassist:

Ok I promised pics of the Legend 6 (Is that the correct model designation? I know its a 6-string Legend, that's all I know) I bought from Mark of Scale the Summit, and here they are! Weather's been miserably hot, but at least it makes for good photos.

The knob setup is a bit odd, with blend at the bottom and volume at the top, but hey the BQC is great no matter how you slice it.

One thing I did not expect from a bolt-on Korean model, is that the body is contoured! Not as much as the normal NS-body, but it is quite comfortable compared to other bolt-on basses, I expected the cheaper basses to be flat and uncomfortable.

on my haz copy my battery came out of the harness at my last gig. I was really rocking out tho. :bassist:

I thought he was really digging his acacia custom- he might be checking out their amps though (I have heard pretty good things about them)

my buddy (warwick artist) just got some wick cabs the 411s, he blew the tweeter first practice...... he was pretty upset, but he does have some nice thumb basses lol

Iris shipped to me with the 9v disconnected but I loaded Scarlet into my truck and didn't have a problem when I got home.

that poor bass, I've been following its journey with slight amusement.

obviously the original owner was some guy named Shane Grush then it went to guitar center. from there it's gone to:

smadder >> me >> baird >> aistentaciousC >> ebradford >> current owner.

so it's had 7 owners in just over two years. it really was a cool bass, I didn't care for the smadder pre, but if Baird hadn't swapped me a killer 78 stingray I probably would've kept it and learned to play five string properly.
