Would be cool to have a one of a kind P-bass, I guess that you will soon have a one of a kind with the split P and J Coda...or...I have never seen one of these yet!

Is the P pickup going to be the standard Fender positioning or reverse Spector positioning?

I may have to give you money very soon depending on your answer lol.

Hey all - finally back in the swing here after getting in from ATL at 1:30 last night. Gotta read through the threads from the last few days and see what I missed.

Hope to have some photos and video up soon from the weekend. We got the whole show on video from the first night which had a great stage and sound. Second night damn card ran out of space LOL. Great response though.

The Webster through the B3K and GK killed as expected. We had what were our two best performances so far on this mini-tour. And as a result, we just got the opening slot on the Saturday of ProgPower XIV in September. Super lucky to get this based on a cancellation. The promoter apparently really likes us. This has got to be the biggest annual event for this type of music in the states, and certainly the most important gig I've ever gotten. Going to be awesome.

Also have a confirmed date for late August in Midvale OH at the Metal Madness fest. Going to be a busy few months between these and our local shows with Earthen Grave and Helloween. But you gotta strike while the iron's hot! :bassist:

Oh and the UV 5XL is ships today. I just checked my butt for a rabbit's foot because I am feeling extremely lucky right now.

Sorry for the late post everyone...we've had our 3 granddaughters for the last 4 days, besides keeping grandpa/grandma VERY busy, they're moving back to Scottsdale,AZ. in 1-2 weeks, so wanted to spend as much time as possible spoiling them :)

Donny, lt looks like I'll be coming that way atleast around Christmas time. So I'll be taking in one of your shows. :D

Andy that is just SUPER news! So very happy for you and your band. :hyper::bassist:

Just jammed with it for a couple hours and it is exactly what I hoped for. I wasn't sure if the custom Spector MojoTones would be too aggressive but they're just right for my taste. The bass has a ton of versatility. I was very pleasantly surprised by the neck solo sound - very close to a P sound to my ears.

Oh and not surprisingly I can nail the "Luminol" tone from the record with this easily.

BTW I saw the Forte 5 you sold already changed hands again. Reminds me of when I got my blue NS-5XL used. Seemed like 4 different people had it in less than a year, and I kept trying to figure out what was wrong with it. I guess sometimes stuff just gets passed around like a....well like a girl who gets around. :D

She arrived at her new home in Texas a little while ago. Don't get me wrong. She is a beautiful specimen, just not my particular taste. It's me and swampy from now on. :bassist:

Well I scratched my head on the low output in the 9v in my refin'd Kramer for a couple days and believe I have solved the issue. I went over the whole pre and tested everything and I had my two Brooklyns on the bench to use for reference when I noticed that the neck pickup was wired backwards. The neck pickup on the other two had the black on the left (inside) turret and this one was reversed. On the HAZ 9v the neck and bridge pickups are wired different. The neck is black on the left(inside) and white on the right (towards the cavity wall), the bridge is wired white on the left and black on the right. I was not able to plug into an amp to A/B (it was baby nap time), but into the interface on the level in the DAW all three basses were putting out right at the same level db and sounded the same in the head phones. The pot noise and boosting off center detent was also gone from the balance pot, and back to stable and smooth blending. So, we will have the final conclusion in the morning when I wake the neighbors.

I meant to ask this yesterday - was going to take a poll for laughs. For anyone that has received a bass shipped to them with a US 9v (Brookly, Kramer or Woodstock) installed, was the battery still connected? I had to push mine back in on the 5XL. Just happened to open it before playing it to look at the elusive and wily 9v. Good thing I did or I would have had that minute of panic before I used my brain and checked it.

I've heard several times here where the battery on the haz comes loose after shipping. I wonder if this should be brought to PJ's attention.

I mean I don't know what they could do about it really other than to do a velcro wrap around it or a piece to keep it in place. I'd be more concerned about it coming lose if I was jumping around a lot or something.

About 50% of the time the batteries are knocked out of their harness for me. That should give you an idea of the trauma these things are put through with shippers.
