Since PJ likes using musical terms, I was looking down a list of terms and found a good one for a hypothetical Spector P bass...

I'm sure its only a matter of time until Spector comes out with something like this, especially after the success of the Coda.

Submitting my entry to the club with my blue stain Euro 4 lx (EMG 18v pre, tuned BEAD) and spalted maple NS4-H2 (EMG 18v pre, DC pickups). You could say I like a pretty aggressive sound I only discovered Spector fairly recently and I am completely hooked. The tone and playability are unreal. My only problem now is dealing with GAS over another. Looks like I am in the right place...

To tell the truth, until this situation I didn't know who Tim Gaines was.
I knew who Stryper was and have the occasional meet up with Oz Fox here in Vegas. Just not Tim.
I picked it up simply because I needed another Spector for my C tuning stuff.
It just happened to be the coolest one I ran across on my LA trip.

I think I know what part of the "value" of this bass is.

That's an original USA Spector 9v circuit in this bass. NOT the Kramer/Korean copy. You can look at the tracings on the board and the types of pots used.

My best guess is someone knows that's an original USA Kramer-Era circuit and they're bidding on it. Not necessarily the bass.

Kramer Era USA 9v circuits are hard to come by. And they really are in many people's opinion, the best version of the USA circuit.

Thanks! I'll look into what you've suggested. I think those came from the designer of the circuit... and historically he's made changes without notifying Spector. LOL. Got to love that.
