Damn this stuff is so cool! Comfortably Numb was cool, but I really dig Yes. Man that guy is a dead ringer from Jon Anderson on Good People. The harmonies were really done justice on this too. I like the Whitesnake stuff too.

Thank you sir! This was the height of my professional career in the 80's. I wish the recordings were better but ya take what you can get. I can't thank our old fans enough for staying in touch and supplying these cassettes to me the last couple of years so I can keep the memory alive on the web.

I thought Marshall always did a great job on all the Led Zeppelin we did too. Not to mention he wrote and sang all the original music from our CD.

Ok guys Im in a generous mood today, I made some good sales this week and want to thank my Spector bretheren for the bumps and kind words so......for the rest of today until midnight pm if you interested, ill put the names in a hat and draw for my MM114 preamp, I know a few guys here have been looking for one, some trimming had been done to try and fit it in a tight cavity but i assure you it still works great. No Charge, Spector club members only!

I am still toying with the idea of selling the NS20005 to fund a future Spector purchase, seeing as how almost all its bases are covered by the Legend Classic 6 I just got from Mark Michell.

Time to do some price checking I suppose

...I didn't get a good look at the driver, but if I had to guess I'd bet it was the one and only Mr. Dave Fowler!

Just got my first Spector...I hear they've got a club here somewhere

Been eyeing Spectors for the last year or so - although I've never played one, have been falling in love with the way they look and liked the sound from some artists who use them.

Was about to pull the trigger on a used Legend when I found this practically mint condition Rebop for sale locally and was able to get it for a great price.

Oh man, it feels so good. Thought I'd have trouble with the neck coming from an Ibanez Soundgear but even though it's certainly thicker, it's still very comfy for me and just feels great and love the body profile. The guy who sold it put new DR flats on which I've never used and I'm loving them. And it sounds fantastic!

Only negative is it's heavier than I'm used to. The Ibby feels lighter than my Tele guitar but this is noticeably heavier than the Tele. Still manageable, though. I'm happy! And love that finish!

So here's the bent shaft on my US 18v. Doesn't look too bad but it felt pretty tough to turn with the knob on.

One thing I wasn't expecting was the 18v now is different than the one they put in this bass 5 years ago. The old one is a smaller green board and all the quick connects are on the ends of cables which are soldered to the preamp. This new one is longer, and the quick connects are mounted directly to the preamp. So less cables. Thankfully the new one barely fit the length of the cavity with the EQ and blend pots in the drilled holes. Only thing is the volume cable connect is bent fairly sharply because the connection port is so close to the top of the cavity. Hopefully it won't be a problem. Worst case is I get the new volume pot soldered to the old preamp.

So is this one of your new basses (I thought you loaded them with 9 Volts)?

No this is my 5 year old 5XL I got used last year. I think I would have passed out if it was one of the new ones.

Does the new 18v still have the additional connection for a mid control?

You can also take that pot and get a replacement for a couple dollars and be good to go.

I just just messed the tone pot up on the Matte Euro. I bought some replacement knobs and the hole was slightly smaller than the shaft and when I tried to pull the knob off I pulled the shaft out on the treble knob. I did order a direct replacement from Spector because I might be moving that bass soon and want it to have the stock pots, but honestly 26 bucks for a tone pot and 10 bucks for shipping is crazy. If I knew I was going to keep the bass I would have replaced it with a quality pot of the same value for a couple bucks. Not sure if it is going to stay since I have 5 9v equipped basses.

Sorry, it's been hard to keep up with your changes...I would have freaked, passed out, or had to call the guy with the Spector emblem on his back window for a quick fix...hey...wonder if we shine the light he will come to the rescue! The 9v have thoses square based pots but a regular EMG pot will work.
