I've been thinking of grabbing a tour 700 and maybe something older for my house... I've been hearing great things about the tour series and I've always loved older Peavey amps... my guitarist is using my odl block letter 5150 and that thing is awesome too.

The tour 700 sounds good Donny and can be had for little money, which is always a bonus

Peavey amp's are work horses and the only problem I have had with my stuff has been the crossover in one of the 1820 cabinets. The guitarist from my old band had a 5150 with double stack speaker cabinets...he had to sell the top cabinet, it would rip his ears apart because he liked to play loud. The 700 is a great amp!!!!

I have a question for anyone who has ever ordered a Spector through a dealer.Would the final cost of the bass be about the same as the list cost.I might order one and have been in contact with Spector to make sure all the options i wanted were doable and to get a ballpark figure.All the options are ok but if it is gonna be close to the list price, it very well could be out of my price range.Just curious to know how much if any difference there is between list and actual cost.Would it vary between dealers? Thanks for any info.

Give Todd Cooke a call at Guitar House of Tulsa.

Spector USA dealers (like Todd) do give a good discount off list price. Give him a call. He'll work out the build for you and then send you a quote. He's great!

Contact Todd Cooke @ Guitar House of Tulsa! He'll get you everything you need to know and shoot you a reasonable price! List on a new, stock US BO 5 is $3999 list...Todd's quote was MUCH cheaper...and I have a few upgraded options! :D

Todd is my go-to Spector Dealer! I've already received a custom fretless that I orderd with him and am about to put a down payment on a fretted to match!

He has one of the biggest personal Spector collections on planet Earth and is one of the most knowledgable people when it comes to Spector instuments! ...and to top it off, he just happens to be one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of talking with! :bassist:

Finally the great white euro will be here by friday. So emg x p amd js are coming out and tone pot tooo all will be for sale if any one wants to get jump on em let me know. Didnt look in cavity yet but its a early 2005 lx.

The Rebop is my first Spector and is like an old band t-shirt that I want to wear all the time. :D

IMO, the top two Spector dealers are Guitar House of Tulsa and Bass Central. They are top class people.

The saddles will always be higher then you think they should be.

Quick test on the neck. You will need a 2nd person to do this.

Press down the 2nd fret and the 24th fret of the lowest string.

At the 9th and the 12th fret slide in a standard business card under the string.

If a standard business card just barely fits in you should be ok.
If a standard business card fits it with lots of extra room try a credit card.
If the credit card fits in but tight, the neck may have a bit too much relief.
If the credit card fits in with alot of extra space the neck has much too much relief.

I just finished checking all my basses and to tell the truth I have never had to adjust my 1987 NS2A in the 20 plus years that I have had it (it's at .015") and is one tough bass, the 2009 Black Cherry NS2 is looking good also with the relief at (.013"), the 2012 Ultraviolet has been the flattest neck...Todd and I thought about giving it a little relief but he adjusted the bridge instead (it's at .010"). I also checked my 1978 Fender P-bass (.013") and my 2003 Fender Jazz which needs new strings (.015").

Bunk, you said you like .015" but what is the flattest neck that you like?
