Man, I'm hoping they got it finished and shipped them together so you can post some cool pictures of them both in Todd's studio...that's what I'm talking about!

I NEVER get tired of playing and hearing the beautiful tones from "Big Blue". 
Received several compliments on her sound today. A couple of beauties for sure! I like your NS-2's deeper color the best. I wonder if they shot black underneath as first coat to get that amazing depth?Now there's a couple of beautiful UV's.
I found an 8 10" cabinet like that for $400 on facebook if your interested?

That'd be nice to select the wood for your build...I've had 3 custom USA orders so far and not been able to select the wood.
But, I have NOT been disappointed either.

I bet it sounded great, the compliments are for the bassist as well as the bass and I'm positive of that! I played Scarlet today and Angie told me that it was full in the room, it's funny because up on stage the only thing I hear is the click in one ear and the mix I set in the other ear with a little feel/warmth from the room...

Todd told me that they do paint the basses with black first to highlight the wood pattern before stain, I guess the amount of black will vary depending on the wood selection and mine looks darker probably because of the wider patterns of black....would be cool to do the NS2A some day!

Watch out where the huskies go...
It's my understanding that the color difference has something to do with the amount of magenta that goes into mixing up the stain. Although the amount of black already in the wood also plays into how bright the color is.
Strictly colorwise I really like Carey's color and it's what prompted me to get Ultraviolet. But I've noticed that it can look kinda' dark in some pictures. I'm hoping mine will be more easily seen.
My fiver has a more subtle, and classy color scheme (walnut, black and gold). I want the NS-2 to stand out more. I know that nobody here in ABQ has any bass with this color. There's precious few Spector players as it is.

I'm very fond of the difference and the creation you are developing, I'm also happy that the wood patterns are different and everyone will have there own custom work of art....that work of art is what I think your after with the chrome as well as the ebony difference plus ebony is your favorite!

Ah Thank you Torn...I had the best compliment paid to me today,IMHO...the bassist for the band following us came up to me and said,"I'm just a beginner bass player, do you give lessons? I love the way you play." I was stunned and stammered of what to say. LOL For me, I was quite flabbergasted. And honored.

My next custom build will have ebony with abalone inlays I picked up the ZeBop after falling in love with a neck-thru NS-2000 that I got from him. Said goodbye to my Fender Jazz V and haven't regretted it a bit.

Thanks dude, still have to record the rest of the song. I'm considering playing the first part on a fretless bass (another excuse to get a shiny new Spector) and then have all the guitars come in with the drums.. So many experiments!

I prefer black too, as you can tell from my Euro. Chrome is ok but I think it's really 80s. I love the understated stealth kind of look
That gold on that bass though. Woah.
I am interested in this, too. I would love to deliver a comparison, but it is very hard to even get a US 9V circuit atm. I'd buy one in an instant.

Two of my favorite basses, built to my dream specs, in my fave Spector color.
So just got done recording the first part of a new demo for my band, with the Euro in my home studio, had to share it!
