Thanks guys. I really appreciate it. I really respect the SPECTOR club member opinion since you guys are really badass. Our first gig is this Sunday at a private party put on by a member of a local band and she's invited 200 or so local musicians. So some of my guys are starting to push the panic button. I keep telling them to relax and just groove.

I don't think you need to be a "member", but then again, I only see what I see. If you do become a member though, you get spammed 2-3 times a day with stuff you don't need.
Any Micro Amp users in the club? Trying to gather ideas of what might pair well with the new Euro. Punchy and growly, but don't want to break my back carrying it around. Figured it was worth throwing out there.
Wanted to see if anyone has gotten a US Bolt 5 string in PJ configuration yet. I'm gassing for a NS2 in a 5 string set-up. I'm stuck between a Coda 5 Deluxe or this.
Actually it was 380 that I started with, it is pretty course to take off the finish. You have to watch finger pressure so that you don't cause any low spots. Then you work to finer grits and finish with the 600 to take out any sand marks. If you wet the wood and see sand marks you can bet that they will show with the stain applied. I used a min wax stain, water or oil based will work and a poloycrylic satin finish. With the satin you need to build up 5 or 6 light coats. You cannot wet sand and polish the matte. So it had to be even. A poloy clear will work for gloss then wet sand with 1000-1500 and use the three stage liquid polishing compound from Stew Mac and you can have a pretty factory finish and in some cases better. If it has any quit or flame to it you can apply black stain first and then sand the black off and you will be left with the black in the grain and the lighter quit will not take the stain but on the surface and that will sand off. Then go over with the color for the enhanced grain look. If it is alder then the enhancment will not work. I had pictures of my refin on here some time ago.
I know there is one in the club and I believe it belongs to Jasonger. ...I'm pretty sure it has the US 9V in it too!

Hey guys, how does one paste a photo directly in the post instead of attaching it to the thread? That killer shot of Bunk w his UV got me wanting to show off some new live shots with my Coda
It would certainly help for my FS stuff as well, the cash sale market is pretty tough at the moment (still trying to move the Rex and a few other basses despite some pretty killer pricing) and I'm sure some extra photos wouldn't hurt...stoked for everyone who has taken delivery of one or more new Spectors this year as well

I use Photobucket. Upload the shot and you can get a direct link to the shot to use in the "insert image" tool.
I don't use a micro amp, but I will tell you this. I have my Euro ReBop and NS-2000 paired with my TC Electronic setup. I use an RH750 head with one or two of the 2x10 TC cabs depending on the size of the gig. Sounds punchy and has plenty of low end. I'm pretty sure that it will be light on your back too
Here are the girls after practice tonight. Still can't believe how great these basses are. I can't wait to get my hands on a USA Spec
