That is funny. I'm sure there's an explanation for it. PJ just posted a new one on the Spector FB page that was 440 so they seem to be in sequence, but not sure what's different about yours.

Thanks! I requested the "NAMM" green from John's bass.

Just as sexy as the Ultraviolet!

Always impressive - insane quilt.

Thanks for inspiring the color! I assume this is what yours would like if it were glossed. In person it seems closer to emerald than forest green.

Yeah I had to think about it which is kind of sick. So that's it for US builds this year, and probably for a good long while after. Need to take a nice long trip with the woman next spring - been far too long.

What a year, NS-5XL, NS-6XL, unplanned Coda 5XL and the NS-5MM2 fretless.

I will say, there is possibly another Euro coming in before the end of the year. Something unique.

These are so awesome. I wish I had the cash to buy the gloss black one.

Hey Bunk! You at least have the bridge from the black bass!

Yours has a high gloss. Could be possible the ones after were finished before yours was done after being sent to get the gloss done?

I picked up a 2005 Spector Rebop-5 about a week ago and have found that it has the EMG-BQC System instead of the original Tone Pump. I like the tone of the new to me Rebop but am wondering how the EMG-BQC System compares with the original, Anyone done this mod and can comment? Thanks

Ya know, it's literally sitting on my desk still. My plan is to give it a run through on my rebop this weekend actually. Just need to find some time to sit down and do it. :bassist:
No pressure man, i was just curious.

Funny... I go to bump my NS4CR for sale and while I'm there I decide to show some love to all the basses you guys have there. Then I realize I just put all your basses above mine on the first page! I gotta get my act together. LOL :bassist:
we'll take care of that!

In late

hehe, I'm going to be doing this swap when my bass comes back from the shop. TP to BQC, that is.

The stock non-trim TonePump that would have been in that bass is a 2-band EQ and was VERY harsh, IMO. The newer TPs have a trim pot to control the output gain and they're much better at having an even and less harsh output.

I found that even running it at 18V with active pickups, it was still too much for my amp to handle without the dB drop and a limiter. :(

I'm hoping the BQC will do what I need it to and make it a better sounding bass with more control.

That's a great idea! I think I'll do that with my guitar since I play classic style anyways. How does that work out for strumming cords though? :bassist:

Well my bass is tuned B-E-A-D-G and my 6 string guitars are tuned like 7 stringed instruments. B-E-A-D-G-B (there's usually an e here, but not on my guitars) so it mimics the bass exactly.
It's usual play and go with chrods, only the top string is different, unlike standard E tuning where strings 1 and 2 are tuned slightly differently :)

Plays great!

I changed the trim pot TP in my Euro to a bqc - not near as hot, and a lot more control of mids. I like it enough that I will also change the emg 2 band in my Rex to a bqc at some point.
