the Warwick wax is a mix of mineral oil and beeswax, it's really designed for use on oil finished woods so the mineral oil can penetrate the wood. I don't think it'll hurt anything, but it'll be really greasy and won't soak in, and will be more of a pain to polish off. not to mention you might get grease stains on your clothes of you don't wipe it all off completely.

Yep, my Rebop is oil finish, that's why I use it. I buff it in with a soft cloth and there is no residue. The bass feels dry to the touch. I live in a very dry climate so I figure keeping up on it is a good idea. I have a wax oil mix for my butchers block and its definitely a lot oilier. The Warwick wax is much more towards the wax end of things.

I've never bothered doing anything to poly or nitro finished basses. Maybe wipe them down occasionally.

I have not heard the NS2B or C, I think Thunder said that these basses don't have a HAZ and the pickups are passive. The NS2A basses have a HAZ but the pickups are passive....

The NS-2C has no preamp, and is passive..and bolt-on. The NS-2B has the Haz copy with the passive Spector pickups, and is neck-thru.
And you don't NEED a Haz copy Pre....but they are quite good... Im a bigger fan of the Tonepump Pre. However, my NS-2A has no pre in it at all, just active EMG's, and sounds fan-friggin-tastic!

This is what I did to my NS2A (TP & active EMG's) and it sounded damn good as well. All for a total of under $700. But there have been some great deals on Euros lately.....

I prefer the Tonepump over the haz copy also.... in fact my haz has been traded off to Mr. Bassie and I will be doing some Preamp swapping. I am going to need some active CS or DC pups for my Legend soon

I did the 35p neck, 35dc in bridge and I like it way more than the dual 35 dc's. Just a bug to put in your head

heck ya! I might try a couple 35CS pups... I'm going to pair these with a Spector US 18v preamp.

The nut is 1.5, neck is stable and fast. Smooth matte finish on back. Fairly thin front to back.
If you like 1.5 nuts and thinner necks you will be happy.with it.

I had this same pickup combination (9 volt though) in a Rebop and it was .

Where does the Coda fall on the Spector scale, from best to worst? Hope it's still available after work..

if you're looking for an aggressive but classic j bass sound it's the best Spector for the job. if you're looking for an NS2 sound it might just be the worst Spector for the job.
