SPECTOR® Club - Part 69

Should be ready this week. Been a long time coming. Old School Euro. Solid maple wings, solid brass bridge. It's going to be Walnut stain:) not gloss. Though I love JohnsonABQ's gloss walnut stain. This one's going to be matte with black hardware. This picture doesn't show it, but the bass has some US quality quilt. I'm not talking AAAAA, probably more like AAA. I had the neck shaved down too, while it was naked. Most of you would probably find it too thin. I gots stubby fingers. Ha

I think the circuit was a BTS. BTC implies stacked pots for the tone controls, which I don't see.
The pickups only say EMG on them, so they've definitely had the HZs swapped out. As for what they are? Your guess is as good as mine. lol EMG offers so many pickup options in their soapbar housings. I've put 40Js in my ReBop, others are running 40P5, or 40DC, or even 40CS.

I agree with you, Ice. That price is pretty good for that bass. :)

BTC...BTS...my bad :D

That's awesome Ho, I know that bass is going to look sweet when it's finished and Chris is the man!! You getting Phil to Plek it also?

Slow Saturday night here - everyone is out gigging their Spectors!
I'm at a monumental show - the 30th anniversary show for punk legends Antiseen. Opening for them are The Hookers and The Meatmen.
I just snapped a photo with the legendary Tesco Vee of The Meatmen - I can die a happy man!

So I got my M6 in the other day and was dialing in Brownie on it (even though I don't play her out anymore) but honestly it sounds best with everything flat on the amp save the Mids which are about 10:00, and I have it on the "5" Voice setting which is a wide band Mids boost. With the EQ knob for Mids at noon it's too much but when you cut em it's a nice compromise.
Oh also, I've fallen in love with the Deep switch- can't believe I've never used that before!

I am going to have to spec a custom Euro here soon I think: 35" scale with the shaved neck, green stain, black hardware, Bart P/J setup and Bart 2 band pre. Thoughts?

Wow, Antiseen ... I haven't kept up with them in a while, but I used to collect and trade some of that southern scumpunk on vinyl. Great snapshot!

Can't wait to see it when it is done. Sorry, but that case of Shiner Bock in the background is totally distracting me ;-) I love that beer, LOL.
