SPECTOR® Club - Part 70

Spector clubbers, does anybody use MarkBass gear with your Spectors? I've tried their BigBang amp one of these days and I loved the tone with my NS-2. I bought their NY604 compact cabinet before and now searching for an amp for it. Struggling between MarkBass LMIII and BigBang. Anybody use one of them?

I'd say go Little Mark Tube 800, if that's not in the running, go Big Bang. It's basically a smaller nicer LMIII.

On another note, I got the problem with the BTS in the ReBop resolved, it seemed like it was a bad solder on the 18v harness I made. But when I went to button the bass up, the output cut again, which lead me to believe it was grounded out somewhere. Took everything apart, out it back together, it was working and done. End story, at 18v, it's killer. I'm gonna go play it some more now!

The only thing i hear about the Tube 800 isit is hard to get the tube if it goes bad and not cheap as it is not a regular sized tube. the LM2 or 3 are great amps .. i also say try Ampeg SVT 6,7, or 8 PRO GREAT amps ..

Running all Spector and Markbass.
Besides the twin 4x10 cabs and 2x10 combo,
I have LMII, LMIII, and LMT800 heads.
Very happy with the tone in whatever configuration I'm using.

If there ever any question about what Ted plays....it's a Spector Euro5LX

I just picked up a Zoom B3 and have been using it with my MarkBass Micromark 801. There is an SVT setting that sounds SOOOO good with Spalty and its tonepump.

This Zoom B3 is amazing..... love it!

Oh man! My bass is already here so I called to see if I could go pick it up and was told it's still in the trailer and won't be available until tomorrow. I'll just have to wait for delivery since I can't take a day off and picking it up at lunch will only buy a few hours that I can't play it in anyway. ...Must. ...Have. ...Patience.

Nice! So they're delivering later today?

Actually Michael, mine is a four string. :) Bunk has a fiver though.

Besides, David is much better looking than I am. That's how you tell the difference too.

Yeah...there's sooo many UV Spectors 4&5's around the club lately, it's tough keeping them a part from who has what:rolleyes::rollno: lol

As for who is better looking...I'll leave THAT one alone! Hahaha:D

Guys, has anybody seen this? I believe it belonged to some TBer before, remember the input jack reinforcement plate. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Spector-NS2-flame-in-Trans-Blue-S1791-/271313728769
I remember that blue NS-2 around our family here! Not the "Double Box Bass" is it? A pretty good price on it. Still a good looker. If I wanted a 4 banger I'd jump on it.

I almost always have basses held for pickup at the local office for that exact reason...as Dr. Seuss says, the waiting place is no fun at all ;)

I'm pretty sure I already complimented you on that gorgeous NS-2, but if not WOW...purple is usually not my thing at all, but both Bunk's and your bass in particular are truly gorgeous works of art...the ebony/chrome combo is absolutely DELICIOUS :bassist:

Smart man!

I'm afraid that even if I did that it still wouldn't be available for pickup until tomorrow anyway (that's what they told me). It'll show up tomorrow right after I get home from work like UPS always does. :rollno:

Thanks man. They've gone through a few variations in the color since I ordered it so I wan't quite sure what it was going to look like, but now that I have pictures of it I'm quite happy. I haven't seen another UV w/chrome and ebony. I'm gonna snag a quick dinner tomorrow night and head out to an open mic my friend sponsors and get on stage with him right away. :bassist:

I remember when Iris was on the way home I kept waking up during the middle of the night checking on the status and I was glad to not have to do that with Scarlet, it has to be a lot of fun creating a build of your very own and that is so very cool to take a NS2 and add your design...your very own design with the ebony and chrome combination.

It's been quite a joy to have two basses built to my specs. These are keepers for life. If TB is still around I'll have my executor put them in the classifieds and there'll be a club price. :)

Just got the "Destination Scan" on the tracking page. (sigh) Just have to wait. :D
