In with a bigger surprise then last month.
An actual photo of me playing live.

My first time playing live in 5+ years.
Jamming with John Castellano's band.
John owns music stores on Staten Island.
and knows Stuart from way back in the day.

John's son Richie Castellano is a member of Blue Oyster Cult.
He even played with them while Rudy Sarzo was with them

Great to hear that and a nice live shot to boot :) this is making me happy.

The EMG 35DC are sounding great with the Rebop, I'm going to report more later on this topic.

In with my pair!

Doing good except being down and out with this bug going around. As you can see I got my USA builds. :hyper: Don't be a stranger.

Oh man! :D

Nice!

Super sweet stable C!

So happy you're doing this Sam!

In with my one and only. I don't have a club number, nor do I feel i need one. I'm a huge Spector fan. My NS2 made a believer out of me! This club rocks!! A great bunch of guys post here! You've all been a source of huge help!!

Joe

Wow Sam! This blew me away in a good way! :hyper: Congrats brother! Awesome action pic! :bassist::hyper:
Both Sam's and my Spalt NS-2 did some gigging tonight! My guitarist and I played an open mic here in town. Fun :)

Good for you Sam, sounds like a lot of fun. We're you able to turn up the volume beyond what you can at home? :bassist:

The more I see those Rex/X series basses...the more I want one. -_-

The Rex was my first Spector purchase a couple of years ago and really got me hooked on the brand. Since then its replaced my Warwick Thumb BO5 for all modern metal and hard rock. I have yet to find a faster, thinner (front to back) 5 string neck on any bass that sounds half as good as this one does. I love the holoflash finish (its a love it or hate it thing). I get more complements on the looks and sound of this bass than any bass I own. If you can find a used one for around $500 jump on it, its one of the best used Spector deals out there!

+1

My Rex really is a killer bass, and I was thinking of letting it go as I just got my Euro in but with the 18volt mod done to it, it really 'beefed' up the tone. The perfect amount of in your face aggression and tight bottom end, can't get much better around that price point IMO if you're looking for a rock/metal bass.

You know... I was going to compliment you on your signature.
For two reasons.

First, I totally subscribe to the "Tool for every job" belief. I always tell anyone who asks me that they need to:
1) Play what makes them happy
2) Have the right tools for the job.

Second, you've listed some of my favorite bass brands... Musicman, Pedulla, Spector...

Your signature rocks!
