These basses are great looking, nice seeing them together!

Well the more bad luck continues. My beloved Mesa prodigy died on me tonight at practice while we were jamming, lights just cut out and no sound, no nothing. Really disappointed, I wish I could just get all of my gear working and set the way I need it but it seems like the second I get something fixed something else goes.

Is it one of the new Prodigy amps?

So a netlabel I know of sent me a message saying they'd love to work with me regarding my ambient project, ZeroNothing. It's so funny how the side project get the attention first :D

So the next weeks will be spent making some demos for them! I'll give your track a listen soon, Jeff, I promise! :D

That's great news Kyle!! Good luck! :bassist:

Yeah, doing some research on TB it appears that I'm the third guy in the Prodigy/Strategy club that's had this same problem. They are updating the plate resistors to handle the KT-88's better from what I'm hearing. I really love this amp and have no doubts that mesa will take care of me, I've just had bad luck with gear this past month or so, so it was mostly just venting I guess.

My prodigy is #114 if that helps at all, though I've been told the plate resistor upgrade is not major and they're not doing a recall on the amps, only doing it if your amp needs servicing. The amp only blew 1 power tube so I'm not sure what went wrong. I can report back when I find out if you'd like.

Good call! I'm definitely glad this didn't happen at the show we played a few weeks back, better now then when I really need it. I still have my old Ampeg V4BH kicking around so it'll be nice to have a use for it while the prodigy is getting warranty work done to it.

What SN# is your Prodigy if you don't mind me asking? Like I said, mine is BP-#114, I'd be curious to know what SN# the other guys who had issues have.

Good deal! I've been following your uploads to Soundcloud. Everything sounds great!!

I'm in! I'll take a number if we do that here :)

Yay, my replacement axe has arrived! She's a beauty and in perfect shape! They let me get my original first choice color, black cherry.

Here are some crappy cell phone pics that do this bass no justice.

Sweet!
Love the name, too.

Thanks guys! If it weren't for the encouragement here (and from my wife, of course) I don't think I'd ever have done this. :) I'll keep you all updated.
