Been messing with the MB112 and it sounds good. Waiting on a call for the acoustic gig I work with (no drummer). I'm not the only bass player they use. Their first choice has a nice little Bose PA so they go with him when they can. Don't think this little guy can keep up with a drum kit though. :D

Looking at airfare as we speak for 7/31/14 with return on 8/3/14. Looks like I might fly into OK city and drive up to Tulsa. As soon as there's more info on things I'm booking the flight. It would be a great chance to se and play if allowed to, some other Spectors. I had been going back and forth with Todd on Questions and options. This would be like the ultimate test drive and then place my order with Todd on the last day. I'm sooooo hoping this works out.

That would be cool, we would be able to know what your ordering, no secrets that way! lol

One of the ultimate test drives for me would be to check out one of Jeff's ebony necks, I also want to test drive a Forte 4...and...my basses will be available for the club to test drive.

Most important...everyone is welcome, this is our Spector clubs event!

If it works out that I can make it, I'll probably drive from Nashville. If anyone is interested in a road trip, let me know!

I'd def bring both the fretless and the MM for everyone to try! It'd be a real joy getting to know everyone and seeing/playing the basses brought to see what works and what doesn't for my next build! ...Ice, I hope you and big blue are thinking about making an appearance! :D

I almost feel bad lugging that super heavy svt6 pro around just to use it as a power amp (I am bypassing the preamp completely)

hmm maybe a power amp is in my future, I'm just very stoked on the Sansamp tone. The RBI is way better than the sansamp pedal.. All of my spectors really shine through this.

Hey guys, I think I have counted up to 10 people who are planning on attending the SpectorHang2014. If you would please send me a private message if your going to come to Tulsa with the number of people you will have (even if it's still too early and your not sure but would like to attend) that way I can start to put together a rough number of people so we can see if there is a group discount we can get on the motel rooms...I might be thinking ahead but the number might be helpful.

You'll be surprised Jeff...I play thru an Ampeg B-112A against a full drum set with no problem being heard in a auditorium that seats 500, and I only have the volume at 4-5. Then at a smaller gig I use my Acoustic B20 with vol. set at 3, no problem. You'd be surprised what these little combos crank out. :bassist::D

Ha ha... You convinced me Michael. I'll give it a shot. ;)

It's basically a 112 cab with a GK MB200 in it.

For the electric gigs I've been using my TCE RH450 thru a GK MBE210-II and/or a MBE115-II. That make a nice little stack. :D

You must play with some tame drummers. lol

I couldn't use anything below a 4x10 with my drummer. :S He easily drowns me out with anything less.

My main project though? Big kit with a drummer with big arms who hits hard. That's why he's behind plexiglass. ;)

lol ya 120 watt 5150 and a 100 marshall.... my drummer is loud but he doesn't even compete. That is at least with DT... church gigs are a different story tho. get that mb112 up in the air and I'm sure you would be able to hear it.

We're auditioning a singer tonight for my new project. I'm playing guitar for this practice (New Schecter 7 string) but it will still be fun! :D. I'm only playing guitar until we find a new guitarist. Then I'm back to my main domain, the wonderful world of bass. (New bass-centric world music project name!)

Whew 200Watts is twice as much as I use. Even my Ampeg B-15T is only 100Watts. You'll do just fine.

Our drummer doesn't use the ole hickory hard sticks...he uses those sticks that look like a bunch of skinny sticks compressed together. A LOT easier on the ears but still projects great sound.

This explains some things. I'll try but I'll keep my other amp in the car just in case. ;)

The guitarist now plays through a Marshall half stack and the other drummer's kit is larger.

That's cool Kyle, female or male singer?

Recently I acquired a Les Paul electric guitar and played it public for the first time yesterday at our church. I have to share bass time every other week. But it still was a blast! Played directly thru DI box thru house. I missed playing my Big Blue though. :bassist: Blue will get a lot of playing time this week. One of our guitarist who has been playing in our church band for 20+ years passed away a week ago and we are playing in a memorial in her honor of course, this coming Saturday, a lot of songs. Looking forward to honoring our fallen musician & dear friend who was loved by all and is dearly missed by all. R.I.P. Mary:)
