August would likely be good for me. Not sure how it affects everyone , but kids start hitting back to school mid to late August, which can be crazy for parents. Maybe first half of the month?

If there was one window for me to escape and join you all it would be early August. Stars would have to align, even then, though.

It would be amazingly cool to meet you all!

Sounds like early August is best...or....if you both are thinking late July we can all communicate to see if that works!

*This is just an example of some thoughts* So far we can target August 1st as a gathering day for getting rooms and doing a dinner with a meet a greet, August 2nd for the SpectorHang2014 (we can set up our basses for everyone to see, take pictures, check out the neat stuff at the Guitar House, maybe we can invite PJ and get him to bring some exciting new developments he would like to show us, etc.) for some fun and excitement....heck if you guys are running a brand of strings I would like to try it would be cool to have a set installed while I'm there even!

Just picked up a new member of my family. I was looking at an NS2A but didn't like the terms of the deal so I pulled the trigger on this guy. From what I was told and can see its a Rebop 4DLX FM. I'm waiting on an email for exact dating. Just thought I'd share with my brethren. It's funny, I've been buying and selling a lot of basses lately but I kept coming back to my performer. I guess I'm one of the fortunate ones who are destined to only love spectors. Yay!!

BTW, Check out the serial, NB8000. I thought it was cool.



And I'm down for a gathering of the Spectorites I'm in New Orleans and would take that trip in a heartbeat.

Another great thing would be to let the guys who have questions about the reclaimed redwood/maple 'Tobacco Burst' NS2 helium take it for a test drive.

Same here with the stars aligning We'll see how much car repairs set us back and how quickly recovery takes. When you're retired...

Ahhhh! Never mind.
I see what I need to do but can't because I received a long J pup when I need a short J pup.
I didn't see that option when ordering.
Will call EMG tomorrow and look into a return/exchange. :scowl:

The short J's are a custom order. They do not make a standard set with short J's.

Heh heh... I was not aware of the whole S/L variation thing. I'm hoping they'll allow me to return just the LJAX for a SJAX pup. If they want it all back and want extra $ for a special order I may just bag the whole thing. Depends on what they want.

Looked like such a simple swap out too. Oh well.

You can check what side the bar magnets are on the by tapping lightly on either side of the housing with a screwdriver; I believe they are on the bridge side of both models.
