Torn, you're a standup guy. That's for sure.

I am seriously looking into how realistic it'd be for me to make to SpectorHang '14. I Think it'd have to be a week long trip for me though as taking that amazingly long journey for 2/3 days would be a bit much :D

I'll keep everyone updated with the realisticness of it all though :)

Thank You very much, it would be great for you to be there brother!

No, dammit. :bawl:
I can leave for that long and I think I'm furthest away being in Portland, OR...

Besides, I've seen/heard most of you guys play. I'd just embarrass myself...

Trace,

I am 100% confident that I am in your boat with some of the monster players in this club! I'm hoping all those shiny basses will distract them from my playing!!! LOL! :hiding:

+100%! :hyper:

My wife also wants to attend the event.

That's great ICE, I have too give a ton of respect and love to my wife. She isn't always happy with the money leaving the Account, but she is about 90% supportive of everything. I think because I do it for youth ministries at church, I get a major pass. But I've forewarned her, that I WILL be making an order with Todd while we're down there.

It's my mid-life crisis outing......... Literally. I turn 40 on August 1st, 2014.

I'll have to woodshed a couple of crazy licks for the get-together to be able to fake my skill level!!!!! Don't tell anyone!!!!!

I'm in the same boat as you guys - been playing a long time but I don't have any Vic Wooten double thumb licks to show off. I figure if nothing else it's a chance to learn a thing or two from a bunch of experienced players with varying styles. :bassist:

I feel the same way, I can entertain on a stage but I'm an average player. lol

I know the feeling. I'm too insecure to ever take a solo. But this is all about sharing our love for the Spector bass and in that we are all Brothers, we are all equal. :D

I'd prefer a setup where we could play along with the music of our choice. If playing a new bass this way we could get a better idea of how it would work for us in context. And if playing our own bass, we would show off how it sounds "in" the music. :bassist:

Let's just pick a few of the guys to give a master class on 4 ridiculous licks that we can all learn to show off in music stores!!!! :hiding: :p :rollno:

My new EMG Geezer Butler PJ set has shipped (they are a passive set aimed at a much more vintage sound). When I get them, I'm going to try them out in my natural 435LX for some variety between my 2 main 435's.

Once I try it, I'll have to give a full report. I'll try to get the home setup together and record some samples.

Quick question. the hole for the pickup wires on the Euro basses isn't big enough for the EMG quick connectors to fit through. Has anyone widened the hole on their Euro? Any tips on how to do it and not screw up!!!! I'd like to use the quick connects in case I decide to make an alternate switch.

If I like these, I may have a Tonepump available. I'll post in the group first if so.

This get together has nothing to do with how impressive of a player that you are. It's all about the love of the instruments and finally getting to put a face to everyone and just enjoying hanging and lots of bass discussion.

Got some exciting news for you all: Been on the phone a lot this week and today I can say without a doubt that PJ Rubal, from Spector, will be in attendance at our Spector Hang 2014. He is very excited about the opportunity to finally get to interact with all of you guys. This will not be an event you won't want to miss. Not like you would have wanted to miss it before, just the cherry on top. :D

I have been playing a long time and one thing I never gave up was the will to learn...and I need a lot of it! lol
I feel the same way, I can entertain on a stage but I'm an average player. lol
I'm also an average player who is still learning his craft! lol

Great idea Jeff.

One thing I would also like to add is this Brotherhood includes all Spector's (Korean, Euro, and American), let's have fun together and I hope you guys will enjoy seeing the Spector NS2A...it's the bass that started me on this path!

 This is going to be a freakin' blast! :bassist:

I also agree that it's about the basses and the community! ...player level/experience doesn't matter at all!

To those who aren't on Facebook and are following my project. Shameless self promotion...

Pleged amigo. Good luck and I can't wait to hear the music.

Absolutely! This is all about getting to meet one another and celebrate our favorite bass guitar, Spector, in all it's variations. :bassist:

This is excellent news Todd. I was really hoping he would be there. It's just so appropriate. :D
