SPECTOR® Club - Part 77

I cut my proverbial bass teeth on MetallicA.
The 4 horsemen have long since departed this earth. :(
There will never be anything like those first few ever again.
KillEmaLL, Master, Justice, Lightning and the good ol garage days

aaaah the memories... The first time i heard Anesthesia, I think i cried :crying:

Yep. Was talking with a buddy the other day about who the greatest American metal band ever was. We both agreed had Metallica not turned into a commercial hard rock act they'd win going away. Since Metallica for all intents and purposes stopped being a metal band in the early 90s, they don't get to top that list any longer.

+1 for SpectorHang,

I'm in New Orleans and have a nice comfy SUV with room for 4, luggage and basses, or 6 with nothing LOL, If anyone close to here wants to talk about sharing the ride, i'm certainly open to it :) :bassist:

That may work out! I'm in NOLA too and planning on heading up there. I have a Subaru Outback, so it sounds like we both have plenty of room for people and basses!

I want to thank everyone who has sent me a private message regarding the SpectorHang 2014. I have been putting together some ideas and Todd is checking into motel and dinner locations around Tulsa (good thing he knows the area). The plan is to have this event on August 1 & 2, 2014. The first will be travel day, check in, and we will have a dinner scheduled for around 6:00pm with a members meet & greet (we will try to keep it low key so the travelers can relax) letting everyone communicate and get to know each other and if there is any bartering of used equipment you can use this time as your personal classifieds. The second we will plan for the official SpectorHang spending the day with our basses set up for a show (similar to a car show..lol) letting members who want to check out all of the cool options do so, we will have a care & maintenance program, review electronics program, and something very special during the day! as well as planned breakfast, lunch, and maybe dinner for those who will be in town until August 3. As it gets closer we will have this all lined out a little better and if anyone has suggestions feel free to message me as this is your event, it is for all members so please sign up and enjoy the HANG!

Hmmm...Looks like I'm going to arrange American visa for August ;)

Vinny is more than welcome to. I own my business so time off is no problem. I work 80hrs over 7 days, so I really need a wind down trip. Perfect timing!!
I can think of no better place to go on my first vacation since Disneyworld in 07 LOL

Thanks for the offer guys, I am trying to work it out but if my forte is at Todds by then, I gotta go pick it up, right?

That would be cool but I see the "wink". It'd be nice to have a brother from another continent there. :D

That would be the icing on the cake!

Wish I could go.

What! The keeper of the club numbers won't be there. We'll miss ya bro.

Did you order a Forte-4 SS too?

Try your best Trace....you have done a great job with the Talk bass page and everyone can thank you in person!

A guy has got to do what he's got to do!

FYI, guys. I'm putting swampy up for grabs. Euro4 (SN NB0074), new black Spector bridge, new Gotoh tuners. BTS pre running at 18v), Spector hard shell case. Solid tube quilt wings, originally built for NAMM circa '01 or '02.

Figured that I would give the club first dibs. PM for club price. View attachment 401560

AuWhat YOU SAY?!?!:eyebrow: Say it's not true E! I thought it was a keeper dude! Must be planning on something bigger???

This was a very exciting time for me and the Coda P-Bass (Celeste), I got to talk with Jimmy twice on the phone plus stayed in contact with him using email. The last I heard was Jimmy found a faulty volume pot and a faulty line comping from the OBP2, he also checked the ground and other misc items....so....the baby is back on the road to me as of Tuesday and I'm excited to get to play it!

:hyper::bassist::hyper::bassist:

In with cousins Amber (left) and Amberr (right)... Don't worry, Vinny, I'll take good care of her...;)

Torn, you're a standup guy. That's for sure.

I am seriously looking into how realistic it'd be for me to make to SpectorHang '14. I Think it'd have to be a week long trip for me though as taking that amazingly long journey for 2/3 days would be a bit much :D

I'll keep everyone updated with the realisticness of it all though :)
