OK, so I was working on this today.
A demo song I am writing for my originals honky-tonk band.
It's nothing fancy, in fact, is probably pretty mediocre, but do I get extra brownie points for putting it out there for club consumption?
Played the Coda P on this one.

Sitting around the house sick and snowbound (sorta/kinda) I decided to mess with the setup of my UV NS2 w/GZRs and Lee and Sam are right, these are much more sensitive to height adjustments than the standard EMG pup. Jeez Lee, talk about chewy mids!

Yesterday was also Euro LE NBD for me also. My financial situation seemed to stabilize for the moment so ofcourse the $ just mysteriously found its way to a new Spector.
I had #6 of 6 dropped shipped from Woodstock. Below is a quick pic.
It came stock with an OBP2. I swapped it with a HAZ but it did sound killer with the OBP2. Remember our favorite dealer has 1 & 2 on the way. I would highly recommend this bass. It has a very slim body, the black neck looks killer & its under 9lbs.

Yes a lot of tones cn be unlocked with differing pickup heights on these. If you're not quite getting what you like, spend some time with a jewelers Phillips and get to work adjusting.

That's pretty much what I was doing today. Gonna take some fine tuning to squeeze out the best tone.

What are you finding works better? Closer or farther away from the strings compared to the standard EMGs?

The closer to the strings, the more a slight difference makes. Especially the P pup.

Thanks Mr Bassie , just need to loosen and remove the strings from the bridge side, remove the knobs and install the cover, then reinstall knobs and strings.

I got to go see Nick tonight with his band Icelus. The Zebop tone was killing it tonight. Stock setup rocking and just such an awesome growly tone.
