Any lefty players interested in a 6 string? Guitar Center has a Used Lefty 6-String EuroLX for $699. That may be a tough one to sell, probably could get them down.

Went to my brother's graduation and Dustie Waring sat down right in front of me. o.o

Sadly, Dan wasn't there with him. But we met up later at a restaurant and hung out for a good thirty minutes or so.

Turns out he had the same injuries I do, and he was telling me about recovery and ttreatment.

I'm also awaiting what strings Dan uses.

a little birdie told me they will be doing a US tour with Animals As Leaders at the end of tthe year.

Dan apparently has a Euro that he never plays live, and for The Parallax has a kinda custom fretless spector.

This one is supposed to be a Rebop... but the seller calls it Rebop NS which doesn't make sense. I still haven't try it, but I'm really interested in finding a good Spector deal. So my question is: Is this a good deal and how much does it sale new.

That bass appears to be an early 2000's Spector 5 String ReBop.
The newer models have crown inlays.
(He is probably using the NS, because of the curved body shape)
A New ReBop goes for about $1400 to $1600 US.
A Used ReBop goes for about $500 to $800. US.

A ReBop is a mid level bolt on neck model made in the Czech Republic.
There is also a neck through model made in the Czech Republic referred to as a EuroLX or Euro (older models)
They would go for $1500 to $2000 new and $800 to $1200 used.

Then there are also Korean Imports called Professional Series. usually "Legend models" and a lower end called Performer Series.
And Ofcourse there are the USA models. Which would start with NS as the model numbers.
These are much more expensive.

WOW thank you so much for the info! I was wondering why the inlays where simple dots. It seems like an interesting deal, I'll think about it. That's a price I can afford for now. I once tried a 3000$ Spector which literally played by itself. I just wish I had that amount to spend!

"I will no longer be updating the site with News, Catalogs, Videos, Spector Locator, etc.
It seems someone has taken my ideas and ran with it.
This site will only represent my collection and some of my friends collections.
Its been a great run and hope you have enjoyed what I brought to the Spector community."

Sounds to me like Todd is a little bent out of shape about Spector Central.
I think we should all ask him to reconsider and keep updating the site. You can never have too much Spector.

I think you can take it any number of ways.

I certainly appreciate all he's done to pave the way. SPECTOR World is a great website and I plan on keeping it linked in the Official SPECTOR website.

I spoke with him about what I was doing with SPECTORCentral going on almost 9 months ago. And I suggested we work together but he's honestly just too busy.

I like to think I did him a favor. He's a great guy, very successful and very busy. He runs two companies and he still finds time to gig on the weekends.

He's a great supporter of SPECTOR and a valued friend to ANYONE who loves these instruments. Todd is without a doubt PART of SPECTOR's history and he always will be.

My goal with SPECTORCentral wasn't to replace or displace SPECTOR World. It was to augment the great content found there with new content that was born from my experience and work in Hollywood. I'd like to think that SPECTORCentral will provide the next level fan experience with the additional features that "My Spector Story" and "All Things Spector" bring to it.

If that's "Taking his idea and running with it" I'm guilty as charged.

thats too bad. i just checked the site and it looked pretty cool. remember, you were the innovator/inventor, and someone copied you. (its ok it happened to fender too ) but if you quit, suddenly they appear to be the inventor/innovator ! stake your claim. just my 2 cents.

I sold a 2009 ReBop 5 this spring for $800.00. It had a 35" scale not 34". Very hot pickups but seemed to lack the sound that I was seeking and has neck dive issues. $595.00 is a good price! But you can get a new Legend 5 with a warrantee for that price and I think you'd be happier. I have a Legend 4 and it's a great bass guitar! I prefer the neck-thru for their sustain & tone but that's my likes. Good luck! Have fun shopping! You'll never want any other guitar! And your G.A.S. will start!!!

I saw that this week also...that's too bad...:scowl: Todd has an awesome site! I've used SpectorWorld for a reference many times. I hope Todd keeps it going! By no means did Spector Central replace Todd's site. They both have their own uniqueness'.

There's nothing you have to apologize for.

I kind of looked at them as two different animals anyway. Todd's site has always been great for browsing and drooling , but was never really up to cable news speed as to the goings on over at Spector. As you've said, he's a really busy guy and may not have time to be right on top of it. You've taken that bull by the horns and should be commended for doing so.

I'm rather surprised Todd, now that he's a Spector dealer, hasn't expanded the info to his store with his site a la Bass Central. Between the collections and his store, that could really end up being the forte (no pun intended ) of his site.

Hey guys, ive got a quick question if you dont mind. A while back i found a guy selling a bunch of gear together at a crazy high price. One of the items was a Spector performer 4 with the hollowflash paint. He swore up and down it cost him $800 when he bought it, blah blah blah. I tried explaining to him about the model but he didnt want to hear it. Flash forward to today and he contacted me again saying he wants to know if im still interested. My problem is i dont know what a realistic price tooffer him would be or if they are even good basses. I know they cost like $400 new so would like $100 be alright (on my end, not his)? The guy isnt a bass player, he just has some stuff.
