I asked this guy for photos yesterday, and it is a NS-2A

He also has a 2nd for sale which he is calling a NS-2A. Both are overpriced at $750

He sent photos of both to me, they are both NS-2A's. One White and the other Sunburst.

Sad thing is I've seen those same 2 ads popping up occasionally for months now on the local CL. I got more pics from him and they are def NS-2As, tried to talk his price down to something more reasonable cause they looked nice, but the guy's just dreaming. Only White NS-2A I've been able to find locally :crying:

Well, I have a set of super longs already, so I'll start with those. But I'm open to experimentation.
Also, I read somewhere in here that people have trouble fitting the B string into the bridge? Is that a problem on the legends, or only on the euros?

A lot of that was me. I can't fit a 130 non tapered B string. So I've just gone with tapered B strings.

How long have you been using D'Addarios?
I ask because I've used them for a lot of years and always needed SL's on any 35" scale Spector because the regular longs just hit the nut when the outer winding would end. The outer winding on the SL's is actually a little too long and I have to modify my B's so the outer winding doesn't wrap around the tuning post.

Now, the reason I ask "how long" is because I heard that D'Addario may have started extending the outer winding on the regular Longs by 1/4". This would mean I could use them on the 35" scale Spectors without having to use and modify the B's on the SL's.

It would seem that American Airlines shipped Abe Millett's Coda-4, Serial Number 31 (Black with tort pick guard) to the wrong city and it is missing.

Abe is going to get me a list of the cities it might have ended up in.

It looks like either a baggage handler took it or it was shipped to the wrong city, got dumped into a turnstile and someone just walked out with it.

I'd like to ask two things.

First, once I have the list of cities, if any of you are in one of them, keep an eye out for CL ads and at the pawn shops for it.

Second, if the airline gives Abe any trouble replacing his bass, I want to start sending them emails (meaning from as many of you as want to participate), that if American Airlines is not "Spector" or "Musician" safe, you won't fly them.

This turns my stomach. I was there when Abe tried this very Coda out at NAMM. I was at his first live show with it and I've worked with him as he's become an avid Coda fan because of this bass.

OK. Here are the cities for possible landing points for Abe's missing Coda-4:

Abe left Miami International Airport headed to Milwaukee, WI to Summerfest 2011.

Miami, FL
Milwaukee, WI

Now here are three more locations that the airline admits it may have landed:

Chicago, IL (OK... down the road from Milwaukee)

San Francisco, CA
San Raphael, CA

These last two boggle my mind. That's 2500 miles from where they should have gone. Wow. Not acceptable.

The bass is CODA-4 # 31 Gloss Black Finish with Tort Pick Guard.

Nurb.. It looks cool...
But, about the only thing SPECTOR about it is the body shape, really.
The headstock has been modified, the electronics are not original, The cavity has been filled in and the cover is now round, the fingerboard has been changed, not 100% POS but I don't think it came with DiMarzio pup's...:hmm:
So, IMO, I wouldn't call it a SPECTOR anything except frankencopy. But, I am a SPECTOR Snob and might be a tad biased, too. :D
