Well i know that i have posted this (an early mix) here before, but i have been doing a bunch of recording and mixing lately. I'm thinking this is going to be the mix of the next full length Icarus Effect album. I've been experimenting with some new guitar and bass tones and i think i have some pretty good ones here...hopefully haha!!!! Hope you guys like it! If you do or don't let me know...it will help me to understand how i can make my mixes better.

Hey guys, just as an update to Chris' little incident at GC I thought I'd add what happened to me ysday at a music store over here in New Zealand, just so that you all know it's not isolated to usa lol

So, I'm at the store looking for a new head n cab to match Chris' wimbish euro that's almost arrived (in customs as we speak hehe) and I start asking the guy about what would be best to use with the bass.. now I say spector and then the attitude comes out.. this idiot says "you should trade it in and get an original" so I say "an original?.. but they are" and get the reply "no no, I mean a warwick.. spectors are copies" :rollno: .. at which point I mention that "good point I forgot ned steinberger was german" he didn't get it.. anywho I proceeded to 'educate' this stupid kid (actually more like 23 but close enough lol) and by the end of it his mind was blown.. he took a look at a warwick streamer and says to me "all that came from a guy in a woodshop and a furniture designer?" lolol.. I think he lost serious respect in ww over the 'stealing' of the ns design hehe... so yeah there ya go chris n co.. idiots everywhere... maybe they should just stick to selling guitars to guitarists that don't care as long as it makes noise lol :D

Very soon there will be THREE (3) SPECTOR Websites...

Link Removed : This site will be about Stuart and the history of SPECTOR. When you look at the current website, the entire ABOUT US section will be brought over to this site, enhanced and augmented.

www.spectorbass.com : As of today the new Official SPECTOR Bass Guitars logo is in place and the Electric Guitars have been removed from the top of the navigation system (the icons at the top). There will always be a link to the electric guitars in the main left page navigation.

www.spectorguitar.com : A new dedicated site for the growing line of quality, hand-made and imported SPECTOR Electric Guitars. This site will have a reciprocal link to the bass website.

Both the bass and guitar sites will link to the main company site for history, etc...

Between now and the end of the year all of this will be in place. The changes have already started. :-)

Not a big deal dudes ^^
For a Custom Spector I have to save my money for at least 6 years ^^
As you read I want to buy a used ReBop and just want to know if a D-Tuner fits on the normal headstock

It won't fit on the e string as is , they have to modify it . But a rebop you may find a cheap lefty neck and so some swapping !

Nice...can't wait for you to get it, let us know what you think!

Stuart and PJ have taken an active interest in SPECTORCentral and want to start providing more original content and so my little fan site, dubbed "The Unofficial Source for All Things SPECTOR" is getting a complete ground-up face-lift and a change of names to "The Official SPECTOR Fan Site".

How cool is that?

You know, I think people assume WW is the bigger bass because WW is all over in print ads. The trot out full page ads, back cover ads, ads crammed with endorsers, etc. Stuart just does his thing and lets the basses talk. I bet he has to look at the WW deal and all the ads and think back to Kramer, who did alot of the same thing, and ultimately didn't survive...of course, peeving Floyd Rose off didn't help too much either.

Awesome story! Well played sir. I get questions about the whole WW-SPECTOR story all the time through SPECTORCentral.com I usually just say, look at the Wiki article on the Streamer Streamer Bass - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And I point out the well-documented timeline. The first NS-Body bass was available in 1977.

Warwick wasn't even a company until 1982.

That's usually enough to handle the "who copied who" question.

Do an internet search regarding WW's "liberal" "borrowing" of other maker's designs and you learn that all of their most popular guitar designs are borrowed in part or are copies of other designer's works.

They can purchase all the ad space in the world and it can never change the fact that they're not innovators... They are merely a slightly different take on a number of innovative designer's life's work.

In the current SPECTORCentral site there's a thing called "the Inside Scoop".

PJ has agreed to participate with The Inside Scoop and check out the new an improved version... just a peek.

And no use asking me about the hidden content. I can't say anything until PJ says it's OK. That's the deal.

But trust me, you guys are gonna love some of the stuff that's being cooked up. :bassist:
