I was watching a new Mastodon live performance, I thought he was plying an NS2 until I realized....Bloody hell. The inlays even look the same.

Gone through the same pain, brother. Those guys seem to be really bad about sticking to what they endorse. They supposedly play Orange amps (the guitarists), First Act guitars,...and the bassist a TC Electronics Blacksmith. Maybe it's just me, but I've never seen em play this stuff. Who wouldn't want to play out of a f'in Blacksmith?!

Trace - is Custom Cuts on eBay?

I've got inlays from Creative Cuts, but can't find Custom Cuts.

Oh sorry my bad... yes creative cuts ..19.95 a set with extras. The single at the 12th does cover the two dots without using a Sharpie ... make sure You specify a single cut at the 12th or you will get 2 small cuts and it won't look like a SPECTOR neck.

The creative cuts that came on my bass look really good. I have the double crowns at the 12th, that doesn't bother me. If I ever redo it I might try the get the single.

Pulled the trigger on that NS20004 on ebay, since all it needs are the electronic guts and I have tons of parts lying around on my workbench.
The tuners look pretty crapped up but I have a couple sets of those too.

I would think Schaller M4 tuners should fit since the higher quality spector models used those right?

Anyone have a Haz copy (the import version that works for passive pickups) they'd be willing to sell? :D

Sorry to repost, still lookin for answers to my tuner swap question, wanna make sure they would fit the ns2000/4 or if I need to order some

I just bought 2 sets of the dot busters to get around the double inlay thing. Color the dots in with brown and black sharpie. They look great. :bassist:
Sharpies are relatively permanent.
If you don't want to do anything irreversable, get the markers (home improvement stores) they use for covering scratches in wood furniture. You can match them to the color of your fretboard and will come off (the dots) clean with an alcohol wipe.

Can you give me a link to the Mastodon Video?

And I´m not kidding...
I sent my Sterling + the money to the freak....for the NS5...
and (I don´t know if swear words are allowed) he send me my f**** Bass back with a notice, Mnahhhh I can´t do it, sorry, I hope you understand it...
