A wimbish in white stain...that's interesting...I'd love to see what white stain would like like on a nicely figured top on a Spector....

I love what I heard from all the Forte's. Good luck!
I would say Forte 4 but those are some difficult choices.

Dude... really? Those basses couldn't be more different... OK the Forte and the Euro4LX Wimbish are going to sound and feel a little similar... but the NS-4H2-EX is a TOTALLY different sound profile from the Forte (IF you go with the USA 9v SPECTOR Circuit... for a couple of hundred $$$ upgrade).
And even the stock OBP-2 in the Forte with P/J's is way different than the single/dual TW with the OBP-3.
What sound profile are you going for?
And don't you already have a USA Bolt-On?
I'm partial to the neck-thru models. And I've held a Forte-4 next to an NS-2 and other than the lack of inlays and the black hardware it's the same bass... at least on the outside. And the OBP-2 is a good circuit. It's cleaner than the USA 9v...
And it's that USA 9v growl that I love... so I'd spend the extra to get that circuit installed.
I personally dig the Forte. I sometimes kick myself for not getting the one I had here after BPL last year. It got a nick in at from some random noodler at the booth and PJ would have made me a good deal on it. But I bought the Euro4LX-TW-35 instead.
If you already have a USA Bolt... get the Forte.

Id say Forte over the Ian Hill.... And the USA bolt-on vs Forte.... Thats a bit of apples and oranges as Patrick pointed out.
The USA bolt-on basses have been growing on though.. Ever since seeing that 5er with the single MM pup. If I were to go "different" but stay Spector.. That'd be the one... Then I'd want a Coda 5... Because those kill any Lull or other Jbass makers I've tried.

Icebox - I've been eyeing that NS-2 for a while now. But I need a bass I can play, lol. I'd have to lock that one up and put an an alarm system around it.
Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! It's interesting, when I spoke with BC, and asked about a 2 J pickup NS4H2, he warned me about 60 cycle hum when the bridge pup is soloed. I'd imagine, the NS-2JARs have the pickups, no? If no hum, then why would he say that?
I like the idea of switching between single and dual coil. And JP, I don't have a USA bolt on - I have 2 Rebops (well, technically one, I just sold the 5er), my NS-2A and that's it. Maybe I should wait til after BPL - do you know which instruments will be there JP? I'm only going on Saturday and staying for the Larry Graham concert.
Here's my quandry: I looooove a gloss white finish on an NS-2; I like the narrower neck like the Wimbish, and I like the versatility of the coil switching in the EMG CS-TW. I have a Rebop, but no coil mode switching, obviously - but I already have the two humbucker sound. My NS-2A has the P/J sound, but it sounds weak for an active bass. The volume dropoff is considerable when playing my passive Yamaha and the Rebop compared to the NS-2A. It's really noticeable.
So, maybe I should get a Euro with 2 Js, in white with a Wimbish neck? Arg!
Plus, there's an NS-2JAR I'm watching on the Bay... sigh.
Anyway, I want that bark and growl, and I want the signal to be defined - not too boomy - and I really love the single coil bridge soloed - so I guess I need to look into a JJ or P/J configuration...

If I was going to the BPL I'd wait ordering until you could have some hands on testing.
I don't know what's up with your NS-2A but my former had a lot of volume! Have you thought about putting active pups in it?

Mine sounds great with the bridge PU'd soloed.
P.S. About 40 mins left on the ebay NS-2JAR.

Thank you very much kind sir! I would be remiss if I did not get up a couple of action shots of my Main player though! Here in all her glory is my Doug Wimbish taken this past Saturday at a gig in Myrtle Beach, SC at a cool little club called Boom Boom's:
Notice the finish on this bass! This pic does not do her justice at all! Definitely one of the nicest finishes I have ever seen on ANY bass I have ever had in my hands. I have probably gotten more oohhs and aaahs on this single bass than all the other basses I have owned combined! Chicks want to come up and touch her all the time...She weighs 8.5 pounds and sounds like about a million! BTW - My shirt says Playboy Mansion on one side and Poolboy on the other...LOL! My wife is a Playboy fanatic and got me this and a whole bunch of other Playboy shirts and assorted stuff! I AM the luckiest man alive to be certain! Fun wife! Fun gig!
I am lost somewhere in the groove right here...This bass plays herself and is such a joy to play! My sound guy prefers my Spectors over any other bass I have played with him and loves the NS5P in the post above and this Wimbish. I brought my US Lakland 4-94 to this gig but she stayed in the case all night long. The last time I took her out he said "Naw man play that Spector! That is the only one you need!" I couldn't agree more! LOVE my Spectors and really want another US NS2!
This is the Lakland that usually stays in the case or on the stand...you can see my Kramer era Cherryburst NS2 and the Wimbish in the stand behind me. I had just gotten the Wimbish and the neck was still settling so I played the Lakland for much of the night due to a slight buzz I was getting from the D string. I brought the Kramer as a backup to the Wimbish but the jack was squirrely so I played the Lakland instead...Not that the Lakland is anything short of amazing it just ain't a Spector!
Here is the NS5P from a previous gig earlier this summer at the same club! Note the Playboy shirt...LOL!
And just for good measure this is my wife, my 10 year old daughter, (from my previous marriage) and I at the same club earlier this summer! I have this lady as my wife, this precious child, AND I get to play music everyday...I AM A LUCKY AND TRULY BLESSED MAN INDEED!
I can't decide which one is hotter...the basses or my wife....LOL!
NOT! Like I said I am THE luckiest man in the world!
EDIT - WOW! I just realized how much weight I have lost looking at this series of pics! I was on Prednisone for a little over a year and gained over 100 pounds as a side effect...Thankfully I have lost about 70 of it in the last year!

Hi Folks - I just received my first Spector, a USA Bolt On NS4H2 EX. I love it. What surprised me was how bright the tone is, even with the eq set flat. I get a beautiful slap tone but I can also get a very convincing growly j-bass tone. And, it's nice and lightweight!
