Double Saweeet!!!:D How're liking the Coda sound compared to your NS2 and over all???

Hi,
I Love the Coda and wanted something different. No sense having 2 of the same bass. I play out 2-3 times a month and I use my basses so I like to mix it up.
To answer your question:
Nothing compares to a USA NS-2 in my opinion but I do like the different feel the Coda brings. I like to change things up a bit but still keep it in the Spector family. Next is the Spectorbird...
Thanks
Jay

Looking at their website it appears they will be stocking everything except the USA series.

Probably anything handled by the
Hanser Music Group The new North American distributor for Spector import instruments (Performer, Professional, Europe Series)

With Electronics, Best Buy sometimes just carries some Sku's online and not in stores.

But atleast at this point we know they have access to the (Performer, Professional, Europe Series)

I have a feeling there may be some people applying for Best Buy Credit Cards Soon. :hiding:
Thank you Sam for letting us know about Best Buy!
Now I won't need to drive 3-5 hours to checkout some SPECTORS, now only 90 minutes! :hyper: If they start carrying USA models then I might have to apply for a BB credit card. :ninja:

Hey everyone,
I just thought i would let you guys know that i uploaded our whole show to youtube!!! :hyper:
I put numbers in front of the titles for the order of our set.

It was so much fun!!!!
The only downside was the direct sunlight and not being able to see if i was in tune or not LOL! (Hence why i have to get right up on my pedalboard to try to read my tuner.)

Hope you guys enjoy the show if watch it!!!!

Thanks for posting, that looks like it was a lot of fun!

hey guys, I just bought a Spector bass yesterday from ebay, but I have never heard of this model!!!

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

I know that it's made in Korea and I've nothing against that fact since I am Korean and we can make some high quality stuff too.

I watched a video in the YouTube about Spector Q4, but i think it's a different model..

So have you guys ever played or heard of this bass?

These were made between 1999-2004

Scroll down this page and you will see it.

It would be similar to the current Legend Classic Series.

You got that for a nice price. :bassist:

You got a killer deal on the Q4! JPS had one once and absolutely loved it. Wishes he had another some day. You should be really happy with it!

Yes! My very first SPECTOR was a Q4. It's the model that became the Legend. It has the NS-2000 body... slightly different shape than the Legend... shaped like the SPECTORCore models (minus being semi-hollow).

It has an active 9v EMG preamp and EMG Hz pups. The necks of the Q4 are AWESOME. Nice and thin.

For what you paid... you're going to love it.

I've been looking for photo or video proof that for a time Michael Anthony of Van Halen rocked several USA NS-2 models.

Of course it's well documented that Eddie Van Halen owns several vintage SPECTOR basses. But it's been hard to find photos of Michael Anthony rocking one.

Thanks to former Kramer finish master George Felise, I have that proof. :-)

Happy to say that my former Euro4 was safely delivered to its new owner in St. Pete Florida.

A professional Guitarist/Producer who loves the Spector Bass sound in his recordings and has been borrowing them for his sesssions....Now he finally has his own. :bassist:

This is hot off the press!

Dang it. Contests such as these are almost never valid in Canada.

Not a fan of Hagar, but that bass sounds gnarly. His Yamahas had real good punch, but the Spector just growls through the mix.

My Alex Webster Signature Model arrived today!

So any of you coming to BPL... I will be bringing this bass to BPL for people to demo (even though it's my bass)... I want to support Alex and get the word out about how cool this bass is.

It does have the 18v EMG 3-Band circuit and EMG DC pups. The neck is super skinny... and the Ebony fingerboard has a great tone to it (with the naked ear)... Plugged in this bad-boy has tonal range for days! And it PUTS the signal out there. It peaked all of my standard NS-4 settings... so this puppy's got some legs.

More to come as I get familiar with it. Right now I'm slammed getting ready for BPL.

Here's some eye-candy show with my cell phone... killer studio picks will get shot next week after BPL.

The matte black cherry Euro5LX to the far right is visiting for BPL... I plan on doing neck comparisons between it and the Alex Bass.

That Alex Webster signature is one sweet bass JPS. And here I thought you would never have a 5 string, you post a picture with 2 of them at your place :)

It's great to see you getting the word out there for Alex. He really is an amazing bass player and a super nice guy as well. I just picked up his new Extreme Metal Bass book he released and the exercises in it are insane. Even people not into Cannibal Corpse should check it out since it will really help with dexterity and hand technique. This is the first book I have ever seen with exercises written for a 5 string bass too which I really love.
