Most bridges with side to side adjustment have some way to keep it locked in position. I find the ball/slot argument not true at all in real world application.These features can be annoying to some players, as the string spacing can move unexpectedly while changing springs, and the top load make it difficult to keep the ball end in the slot until the string is under tension.
Par for the course.In the end, I'm guessing Stuart and PJ will install whatever bridge they feel will be most acceptable in the market, regardless of what we may think.
