Here I go again. The Crazy Spector Guy (me) has changed his mind and is now selling my Euro4 so I can fund my Forte purchase.

Good luck Sam, it's a beaute....That's actually the color I thought mine was going to be...it turned out Black and Blue stain, which I liked enough not to send back. Hope it sells quick for ya.

That's some good stuff right there. I am fairly new to the envelope filter thing and recently bought an MXR as well but from watching videos of people playing through them I find it very cool how they seem to bring out a different player in some folks. Fuzz is fuzz and chorus and flanger add some nice color but when you turned the envelope filter on your playing got really fun and loose where there is a genuine interaction with that effect. Very nice!

I totally forgot the bar smell... I've smashed head stocks with my guitarists... Kids jump on stage...
then there's the thought that gear can get stolen.. we've been lucky to not have gotten anything stolen from our trailer overnight.. but we have woken up to pry marks once. :scowl:
I wouldn't doubt it with the kind of music you play. If you don't mind me asking, what's the craziest thing that you've ever witnessed/experienced at a show?
I know you are asking Chris, but....
Back in the day I was playing in Omaha. Before the show I went backstage to unload my basses, tune up, get ready to play. One of the bouncers was back there dealing a big pile of coke in our dressing room. When I opened the door, he pulled a gun on me, then realized I was in the band and put it away. I cleaned out my pants and got ready to play.
About an hour later we were playing, a group of Hell's Angel's came in the bar. One of them decided he was going to dance with this girl who was dancing with her boyfriend/husband. The boyfriend/husband objected, the guy pulled out a knife and stabbed him on the dance floor. Then 3-4 of his buddies helped him kick the guy he just stabbed. Then I look up and see the same bouncer heading for the dance floor reaching for the back of his pants. I knew what he was reaching for so I turned to the band and said "We are leaving, NOW!." We all went backstage to wait until things mellowed out a bit. The Hell's Angels stabbed another bouncer on the way out.
Happy ending: we had a professional photographer there in the sound booth taking promo pictures of us, she got high quality pictures of the whole thing and turned the pictures over to the police when they came, they picked up all of them.
That was a Thursday night, the weekend got crazy....

Whoa, that's the craziest thing I've ever heard. Those Hell's Angels are pretty crazy, huh?
Seriously, though. I don't know how I would even react to someone getting stabbed. Props to that photographer for stomaching it and taking pictures for evidence!

We're actually playing with these guys again at the end of the month.. lol
I seen a fight break out... big brawl made it from the floor.. out to the front where the merch was.. multiple fights broke out at different parts of the room.. a skateboard was used(truck side... metal part that holds the wheels.. lol) on someones head.. then someone brought out a dog(dont ask where that came from) finally moved to the front of the building where they had a lockdown(all ages show) gun threats outside.. cops and all that jazz...
me and the merch guy for the other band we're working merch at the time and just kinda sat there looking at eat other like "hmm ok this might bad... maybe start packing up the merch?" lol
that was the worst violent one.. most of the time its a few small fights here and there.. but none as big as that.
A friends band also got all their gear robbed the day before meeting in vegas to do a show/start tour.. bad way to start a tour :scowl:

Dang, that's pretty crazy, too. Was it a mosh pit gone wrong or something? I can't imagine being hit with skateboard trucks, that guy must've had a horrible time.

i heard truck on skull at least 3 shots...
well.... the "hardcore" scene... has a bunch of those ninja kids that throw kicks and swing their arms... same story every time.. kid swings.. hits someone who shouldnt be that close to the pit anyway... guy gets mad... pushese kid... realizes the hardcore kids dont fight fair and run in groups.. next thing you know there's a fight..
im not that old.. but i prefer a ccw circle pit where people watch out for each other rather then pull some macho trip egging people on to start fights... then again the demo we play to are these kids.. so i cant hate on people that enjoy what i do? oh well.
Yeah, the whole mosh pit etiquette gets lost. People let surfers hit the floor, people get pissed when they get too close to the pit - and of course, there are idiots IN the pit who have no clue what they're doing - they're the ones who usually get popped or start stuff.

I used to love the pit maybe 10 or so years ago, but when the etiquette started to fade away I ended up with a broken finger, broken nose and dislocated jaw in 3 separate pits
Haven't been in one again since... That was 4 or 5 years ago!
Yeah, I've witnessed the ninja moves myself. They discouraged me from ever wanting to mosh again haha.
I honestly think this kind of moshing is kinda dumb cuz it's reckless and more self-centered. IMO, the more classic mosh involves people mostly pushing each other rather than actually trying to hurt each other..or not caring if someone gets hit by your flailing fists/arms...same thing. That's just me, though. Not hating on any of you guys' fans that do the whole 'ninja mosh' thing.

I was at ozzfest last year, and a pit opened up literally five feet away from me during a set by kataclysm (not a big fan, but it was a good show). The crowd was so dense my friend and I couldn't move away.
We ended up right next to the pit, and one huge dude managed to pin down another huge dude and he was really beating the **** out of him. This happened literally 2 inches from my face.
So there's my worst pit experience, even though in comparison it's not nearly as bad. Lol.
The funny thing is, that whole thing happened during a song called 'crippled and broken'. Pretty fitting if you ask me.
I can't say that I have played at places and saw crazy pits but I have been at some shows that were downright insanity. I think the craziest one was Ozzfest at Giants Stadium back in 1997 i believe. Pantera just went on and the whole crowd decided they wanted to run onto the field to try and get closer. Unfortunately, the security guards tried to stop them and many people decided to gang up on the guards and start beating them up. Not too long after, a ton of NJ State Troopers ran onto the field with shotguns to try and get some order back and boy they sure did 
I'm probably showing my age here but does anyone remember L'Amour in Brooklyn NY? Me and my buddies used to go there all the time and it was normal to just see the nuttiest things. Some poor guy drove by playing Bon Jovi on his car stereo and 20 guys chased after him to try and pull him out of the car but luckily the bouncers broke it up. My own battle scar was having my nose broken at a Slayer show in a pit
