That bothers me too. If I was spending upwards of $1k on an instrument I'd expect a hard case as standard.

Got my Rebop back from the shop today. The good news is that the DCs are in. The bad news: despite my request to the contrary, they removed the Tone Pump and put in passive tone controls. The Tone Pump is essentially ruined, as the wires are cut so close that I don't think they can be reattached.

I actually like the tone of it passive, but obviously they're going to have to buy me a new preamp.

Nope, and my roof is only like 12 feet give or take a foot or two not that high up like that video. But let me tell you I bang that case on things and throw it around in the truck with no worries. It is a very well built case and not real heavy either. I definetly recommend it. I have all my hard cases in the attic and use these to take my basses out and about.

He still has a battery but its not hooked up to a preamp, only the pups
