I didn't have any problems adjusting even without picking up a bass for so many years. There are dots on the side of the neck so those were sufficient enough for me to know where I was.

I have fallen even harder for the NS-95 after last night's band practice. We have an old Peavey 18" Black Widow Sub that we aren't using and I decided to make a bass stack out of it and my Fender 410 Pro. This bumped up the output of my SWR to 400 watts and gave me the Spector growl with some extreme oomph on the low B string. The drummer was loving it, he could feel the bass better than ever and we were locking in like nobody's business because of it. So now I have a gigantic bass rig, it's taller than me and I'm 6'5"....lol.
