You know the way I am, I will most likely have the Sadowskys on in it about a half hour from now
and then the Dunlops about half hour after that, just to hear the difference. LOL

The neck is a different beefy, not really much more beefy then the Euro4LX just squared instead of rounded on the back.

Yes! That is the difference. I prefer the Woodstock neck design to the Euro's by a mile. Much easier and more comfortable (for me at least) to play.

I have fallen even harder for the NS-95 after last night's band practice. We have an old Peavey 18" Black Widow Sub that we aren't using and I decided to make a bass stack out of it and my Fender 410 Pro. This bumped up the output of my SWR to 400 watts and gave me the Spector growl with some extreme oomph on the low B string. The drummer was loving it, he could feel the bass better than ever and we were locking in like nobody's business because of it. So now I have a gigantic bass rig, it's taller than me and I'm 6'5"....lol.

Holy smokes! Lol That'd be sooo awesome!!! I'm going to bring back my Ampeg B-15T to our PW band...just not happy with only the line6 110 lowdown...if the soundboard guy complains then I'll bring my Ampeg PR-410HLF and add it to the 15!

Does anyone actually run their pickups seperatly rather than both even, full volume?

I run mine with the bridge pickup full and the neck pickup at about 75 to 80 percent. I found that those setting make my Euro5LX growl even more.

Been a little down for the count for a couple of weeks here, (more later)but nothing makes my heart happier (and hopefully your heart too) than seeing Sam with his new Forte!

Have they ever made a spector with a bridge pickup closer to the sweet spot? (aka the musicman spot) I love that the neck pickup is in the traditional P location, but often find my bridge pickup soloed is a bit honky for my liking and have to blend in more of the neck pickup

I play mine with more neck than bridge.

Would you describe the back side of the neck being more flat?

depending on the song, I normally play my neck pup at full and either 25% bridge or bridge off.

I would say it is more flat,
more like a M shape without the dip. Or a more squared off U shape.

It is different but it is very playable and fast IMHO.

Yeah...the last time I was recording I would actually have to mute the string to stop it. The engineer and I were amazed at the sustain......

I didn't read this whole message thread to see if strings were mentioned, but DR Nickel LoRiders are my favorite strings for either my Euro5LX or ReBop4. They have a nice growly tone and allow the action to be set low. Those strings along with the pickup blend you mentioned and, yeah, it's like having a 5,000 lb dog in the room.

Look what showed up in my office this morning.

It's in amazing condition for a 20 year old bass. The money frets are a bit worn and there are a few finish pimples, but it seems to play great. I can't wait to get it home and try it out!!

Exactly on the muting, if you notice the Forte just ends quicky because I did needed to mute it because the new section of the riff was about to start. I have never come accross this much sustain on any bass I ever played in 28 years lol.
