Those are some seriously hot Spectors. Seeing those is really making me think that I need to get back to a nice wood grain with an oil/wax finish.

Decisions, decisions! On the one hand this one is cheaper and has dots (which I seem to prefer now) but on the other I really like the alder backed Euro LXs and the Tone Pump (as far as two band preamps go anyway). Everyone and their mother says that the all maple Euro models smoke the Euro LXs but then again I like the Tone Pump so maybe I shouldn't listen to them, lol. Man, it's nice to have options but it's hard to actually decide without having both in my hands. Maybe I'm just reading into it to much and should just buy then all .

My two, The first one is a dark blueburst NS-4CRFM (Euro) and the second one is a LX4-35 tuned to C, love 'em!

Anyone have an idea about wich standard replacement preamp is closest to the Haz-Lab in sound, Aguilar or?? The sales part of Spector.com wont reply to my emails about innternational shipping.

Personally, I would go for the cheaper one and upgrade electronics if that becomes an issue.

As far as woods go, I dont think that there would be a ridiculously huge difference between the all maple Spectors. Yeah it's there, but personally Id prefer something a tad on the warmer side.

Youll still have all the clarity and brightness of maple in the neck, but I think youll get a contrasted and more versatile sound with the alder back.

Basically, the choice is yours depending on how much you want to drop on your baby. If life and money werent issues, there would never be any Spectors on the used market for more than a few hours and many of us would be a lot happier and not suffering from severe GAS.

That's from a local guy here in Vegas. I've been meaning to go check it out. I really don't think he's going to get anywhere close to his asking price in that condition. I'm guessing $700-$900.

I would have to agree with PhatBasstard that this one will likely be in the 700-900 range leaning towards the sevens. Of course, be it ebay and the strange happenings which may occur... who knows.

Plus, that model doesn't seem to be very popular. There is a TB'r here that had a recent 6 string version of that model in just pristine condition and updated with Hipshot tuners. Had the full inlays and was just beautiful (I would have bought it but just missed it). He had trouble getting $1200 for it which is a shame.
