A good plan indeed. An added bonus, IMO, of the OBP-3 is that the mids are switchable between 400 and 800 Hz... I've found that option to be pleasantly useful.
For those of that have a Euro 5 with either the zinc brass alloy or aluminum bridge, I was wondering if one of you might be able to take some measurements for me. I know from the website the dimensional specs are 4.40" W, 1.95" L, .78" H. However, what I am looking for is distance between the bridge mounting holes from center to center. If you have a precision rule or a caliper to take the measurements, that would be great, but I will take what I can get. Thanks.

Possibly. The aesthetic isn't so much of an issue as the overall weigh of the instrument. Ever wondered how much one of those brass bridges weigh? Quite a bit. The black Euro bridges are made of aluminum and should weigh significantly less (anybody know how much?). Of course potential issues with changes to the bridge are balance and tone are a concern. Most likely, I will end up purchasing one of the new Spector® bridges with the intonation screws.

That's what I have in mind for the green CR (the Euro or new bridge). I'm hoping the Hipshot Ultralite hole pattern matches the Schaller M4s so I can throw on a set of Y tuners and save some dough. According to NOLA bass, black M4s with the Spector hole placement have to be ordered from Germany and that seems a little pricey for me at the moment.

I'm definitely a believer in the OBP-3, the best preamp for the money.
East preamps are pretty freakin sweet but the price difference is a bit much for me.

I just got mine back from the bass doctor, did a little fret work and oiled up the bridge a smidge, cleaned the electronics and the action is AMAZINGLY low with no buzz.
Still get the annoying bzzz/hiss when I boost the treble - so, he's going to check how much it would cost to order and install an OBP-3 sk/pp or OB2 - tk (because my amp has a mid range shape knob).
Since I sold my SKB case, I was looking at the Spector cases - and they've gotten not so glowing reviews. They're kind of expensive - especially if it's not that strong.
Any suggestions? What cases will hold a Rebop 4DLX?

We spent two hours on the phone together yesterday.

The SPECTOR cases are made by TKL. Nice cases. I'm pretty easy on mine. But it seems like a really nice case.
I have one for all of my Spectors because they are fitted for the bodies and because they are flat they are easy to store. But...
If you need a true hard-core road warrior. Get another SKB.
I don't own any SKB's for my guitars, but have several for my other "things which start with "G" fetish... my guns.
And they are the best rifle cases in the world. So I imagine their guitar cases rock. I don't know. You tell me.
But if I was ever going to fly and needed to take one of my guitars I'd get an SKB like the one in the attached photo. Which is how I take my rifles when I fly.

Im rocking an East pre in my Euro, and im about to drop on two more; one for my Legend 4 Classic and one for my Gibson Grabber.
Awesome pre amps. The clarity and definition is unmatched and the EQs actually have a wide range of sounds. Definitely worth the extra $$.
@JPSBassist - I don't foresee any long road trips or cross-country gigs - and I travel to Japan only once every couple of years (and I usually come back with a new bass, LOL). It seems a shame that the reviews I read were a bit on the negative side. But if I were just gigging locally, I don't think I would need another SKB. I appreciate your input.
The scopes on your guns look HUGE. I imagine you have quite a good view from afar (not too familiar with guns). I did have a old Beretta, don't remember the model (I bought it in Japan, and they confiscated it here at customs
) I think it was a 92A or something.
